This is a small nicely done Japanese Cloisonne vase with a gold wire butterfly. The enamel is of high quality and it appears like it could be a later Hayashi piece. It stands 3 3/4 inches tall and is in excellent condition. Just has come wear to silver on rims. It is not signed.

This is a very attractive Cloisonne jewelry chest from Inaba. It is a vintage piece, but still there a lot of work that went into this jewelry chest. It is decorated all over. There are two working drawers and both sides of the doors are also decorated. In the bottom area is a wind-up musical mechanism, that does work. The Phoenix Bird decoration on the top is very nicely done. The box is very heavy and it measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep...

This is an attractive cloisonne vase from Ando. The enamel work and shading are finely done. The form and colors are rare. The vase stands 6 inches tall. There is a bit of hard to see crazing. This can be seen in the images and actually shows up more in the image than in person. It was made with silver rims and was probably made in the 1930's. This is a very nice display piece.

This is an attractive vintage Japanese Cloisonne vase. It is much like another piece we currently have listed but of higher quality. It may be from Ando. The wireless enamel work on the mountain and clouds is very good. Except in the foreground, the enamel colors are soft pastel tones of gray/blue. It just under 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide. There is a minor dent to bottom rim that can not be seen when on display. otherwise the condition is outstanding.

Meiji (1868-1912) Japanese Lavender Cloisonne Vase with Shakudo Rims

It is 3.7 inches (9.5 cm) tall by 2.7 inches (7 cm) wide. It is 0.4 Lb.

It has enamel hairline cracks at the neck and underside of the rim, oxidized and tarnished metal, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A mirror pair of 7.25" vases, enameled in deep red enamel over metal bodies incised in a pattern of birds in a bamboo grove. They are marked "Made in Japan" on their silvered bases. Top rims are copper colored, the counter-enamel is deep red. The pair has no chips, hairlines or repairs.

Silver wired flowers decorate this 3.75" signed Ando Jubei white cloisonne kogo. The interior is silvered, the rims copper colored.

Condition: Good, there are two hairlines beneath the bottom rim on opposite sides, one of which is illustrated in the fifth photograph.

The mark of Ando Jubei is stamped on the bottom gilded rim of this 6.5" tall 20th century cloisonne vase. A cluster of silver wired grapes and leaves decorate the deep green ground.

Condition: Good, with only scuffing to the bottom rim, and a small indention to the upper. Also, there is a slight scratch below the grape cluster and another above the left wire tendril, too faint to photograph. The various white spots are merely light reflection.

Japanese 20th century flower design plique a jour cloisonne vase with chrome rim. The vase measures 5 1/8" in height and is 3 1/2" in diameter.

The Ando company, established in Nagoya in 1880, is the only cloisonne remaining workshop in Japan originating from the Meiji period (1868 - 1912) that is still active in the creation of cloisonne enamels. This is a graceful 10.5" pear shaped vase bearing the seal of Ando Jubei. Enameled an unusual lush shade of plum/brown with a cream accent, it is decorated with silver wire flowers that appear gold against the dark ground. The bottom rim is marked "silver", the counter-enamel is dusty plum.

Condition: No chips, hairlines or repairs. There is minor scuffing to the base rim.

A nicely enameled Japanese cloisonne box with a raised design (moriage) of Mandarin ducks. This box dates from the 1960s to the 1980s and was probably made by the Inaba Company of Kyoto, Japan. The mark at the bottom is not the maker’s mark; it is probably the mark of the retail or outlet store. The dimensions are 5 1/2 inches x 4 inches x 1 1/2 (a bit shorter) inches.

A stylish cloisonné (shippo) beaker vase by Ando, 10” in height, circa 1950 – 1970. It has the original box with a pamphlet issued by the Ando Cloisonne Company, the leading cloisonné company in Japan. The note briefly introduces the company, how their cloisonné are made (with photos) and a photo of the very famous enameled mirror discovered in *Shoso-in.

This pair of vases was recovered from an estate in the Castroville/Watsonville area of California, over 20 years ago. This area is known as the Artichoke Capital of the world. his is a wonderful Japanese Cloisonne lidded bowl, done in the Plique A Jour style. Lidded bowls like this are very difficult to come across. This is a beautiful cloisonne vase. It is not signed but it appears to be a vintage Hayashi Kodenji piece. The colors are brilliant and the enamel has a high gloss. Besides the top and bottom scroll work there are 7 butterflies that adorn this vase. This stout vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and is 6 inches wide. The rims are silver and condition is excellent.

This is a very colorful Japanese Plique-a-Jour cloisonne vase. The colors used are a little different than most and contrast beautifully.(See images) Condition is very good. But when held up to bright light a line can be seen. It does not show in normal lighting. The vase is even a little different size. It stands 3 5/8 inches tall.

Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase. Showa period, circa 1930-1950. The body of the vase is red with a pink chrysanthemum amongst white peonies with a green orchid. The red color, known as akasuke, is difficult to produce.
