This lady's shawl from the Hazara region in Pakistan measures 105 x 224 cm including the fringes. The geometric patterns are hand-embroidered in straight stitching in vivid pink floss-silk with touches of light pink, outlined in yellow double running stitch on a black wool ground. The shawl is dated to the late 20th century and is in perfect condition.

Chinese antique hardwood box inlaid with stone in a scene of figures in a garden. The hinged lid of the box opens to reveal a mirror underneath and a storage area for jewelry or cosmetics divided into six compartments.

Mimura Kazuhiro(b.1931) is a nerikomi (multi-colored marbled ware) specialist who has had a very successful career exhibiting throughout Japan and at juried exhibitions as well, especially at the prestigious yearly Japan Traditional Arts and Crafts Exhibition. This museum quality work dates to the late 70`s and is remarkable for the nerikomi technique on such a large form; in perfect condition at 45.7cm x 45.7cm x 7 cm. Stamped on bottom. Pair of Korean black lacquer over brass vases with mother-of-pearl inlay. The brass is re-purposed from unused artillery shells and the vases are heavier than one would expect. One of the rim looks a little irregular, but the were purchased in Japan, as is, in the first half of the 20th Century. They measure about 7 inches high.

A large original color woodblock print by the Japanese sosaku hanga artist Junichiro Sekino (1914-1988). Showing a pond with a temple or house in Japan at night. Lavishly printed with mica and using the woodblock grain to create the shimmering and rippling water in the pond. Titled, numbered 166/200, signed and dated "57" in English, as well signed and titled in Japanese within the margin in pencil...
