Enigmatic green and red florals capped by ascending butterflies alternate with bird images in the cathedral-like windows on the side of this large vessel by Kyoto artist Yamazaki Koyo enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The vase is 13-1/2 inches (34 cm) tall and in fine condition, dating circa 1950. A fabulous Bizen Tane-Tsubo Seed Jar in the Momoyama style by Living National Treasure Kaneshige Toyo enclosed in a wooden box annotated by Kaneshige Kosuke. Beautiful Hi-iro flame coloring brightens the sides and a smattering of yellow flying ash clings to the shoulder about a line of waves. This agate pendant is 2 ¼” long, 1 ½” wide and 7/8” thick. It is a mid-20th century product. It depicts a small monkey sitting on the top of a large double gourd surrounded by two small lucky bats, some unknown flowers and a smaller gourd. It is in great condition.
