This is a matching pair of decorative prints, 14" by 9 1/2", in thin simple black frames, the prints appearing to be on thin tissue type paper, laid on boards. I am not knowledgeable about Japanese prints, but I would guess these to be of 20th century age. They appear to be in some places unevenly discolored, and browned by age (though not as much as the photos might indicate), but perhaps the paper was brownish to begin with. At the edges there are some losses and stains...
The Japanese hakama is pleated skirt-like pants that is worn over a full length kimono. Hakama pants originated as an outer garment to protect a samurai warrior’s legs from brush when riding a horse. Today, the hakama is worn as formal attire for Japanese wedding ceremonies (see last photo), dances, and martial arts (specifically, black belt students and Juijitsu practictioners). Black and white striped silk, it measures 36" long, waist to hem...

A small oil on Masonite painting of giraffes silhouetted by an African sunset, 10" by 8", unframed, signed at lower right "B.C. Syrett 1968". I do not see information on the artist, who was obviously talented. The painting could use a cleaning to remove soiled varnish, light scuffs and some stray black surface marks in the sky.
