This is a wonderfully hand-carved netsuke depicting Bakemono "Unreal Thing or Goblin" with a Rokuro-Kubi (whirling Neck), in other words a Goblin creature with an expanding neck like the spring of 'Jack-in-the-box", that, according to legend, twists its head around and leers in the faces of sleepers. The creature is standing on one foot and appears to be praying. Amber Double inlaid eyes. Unsigned, but attributed to the 20th century Japanese artist Koraku...

This is a very finely embroidered baby carrier from LiPing region. Threads of green and purple silk are used in satin embroidery stitches which are so heavy and so finely done that they almost totally cover the hand-loomed fabric. Fazzoletto (handkerchief) vase with undulating rim in red (exterior) and white (interior) glass. The technique for fusing the two colors of glass is known as incamiciato. The vase measures 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall and is 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) in diameter. Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This has some minor wear to the base as expected. Enamel on copper pendant with chain, silver foliated and enamelled in olive green with a nebulosa shape, typical of the years around 1960. Unsigned, but undoubtedly by Jytte Borg, Stockholm, who designed and produced the best enamel costume jewelry in Sweden of the 1950’s and 60’s. Height "2/ 5.5 cm, the length of the copper chain is "27 ½ / 70 cm. Condition: fine.
This vintage Knickerbocker figurine or novelty stem is by Morgantown Glass from the 1940s. It features a crystal clear stem of man in a top hat wearing a monocle (looks like the Planter Peanut's man.) The flared art deco sky blue blown bowl darkens as it forms the base, that is then attached to the stem. The foot is also blue and is blown, finished glass that is also attached to the clear stem He stands 5 1/4" high and is in perfect, unused condition. Highly collectible. Book value $150.
This porcelain demitasse set was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in 1930. The marking was used for this year. The set consists of a pot measuring 8 inches high with the lid, a sugar bowl with lid that is 6 inches across the handle and 3 1/2 inches high, a cream pitcher that measures 3 3/4 inches high and 6 cups that are 1 1/2 inches high and 6 saucers with a diameter of 4 1/8 inches.
