She is the turn of the century Chinese Goddess of Mercy and Hearer of all Prayers. She is beautifully detailed, right down to her fingers and the beads around her neck. She has a traditional hair style and long flowing robes. She is depicted carrying a lotus flower and standing on a bed of lotus blossoms and seeds.
Blanc de Chine ( white from China ) porcelain is usually associated with Dehua kilns. She was made from a mold, not on a potter's wheel...

SALE The scarf is probably NH and is dated and also has an initial, Al. It is handwoven and is 38" on two sides and then 47" across the back. It is 1/2 of a square, triangle. It is in perfect condition. The colors are beige, brown, and tan. This is a museum-quality Shaker scarf.

Large, iron figural standing mirror, c.1870. Very decorative - cherubs, women fairies, flowers, hearts, & torch and arrows make up this intricately designed mirror - see photos. It measures 15" wide by 16" long and is extremely heavy. Metalwork is in excellent condition but mirror can use some re-silvering, if desired. Would sit on a dresser but has a back loop for hanging. Japanese scroll painted with ink and colors on silk depicting a spotted stag by a stream among reeds under a moon about to be obscured by clouds. Great composition with alert beast looking into the background hidden in beautifully depicted mist. Wonderful quality realistic painting, superb brushwork - see the detailing of hairs on its coat. Paper and silk mounts, wooden scroll ends. Signed GANEN and marked with red paste seal. Scroll size 68x19 inches, painting size 40x16 inches.
This is a fine grayish lavender opaline vase. Circa 1900. It is 7 1/4" tall by 3 3/4" wide. The inside diameter of the mouth opening is 3" while the collar is only 1 3/4" in diameter.
There are no chips, no cracks and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition. The gold decoration is worn.
The print is about a Japanese mythology.

This basked is American, circa 1880. It is white with blue ruffled trim, and has what appears to be mica is the glass. The handle is clear, and it is quite large, measuring 9 1/2" tall x 11" wide and 7 1/2" deep. It is in perfect original condition.
The painting was attributed to Momokawa Meiho.

On a cold October day in 1977, an auction of the former estate of Dr. T.D.M. Wilson of Washington, Pennsylvania, took place.
