Large charger by Val M. Cushing (USA, New York, 1931-2013), from his "shard series". Circa 1970-1980. 18" in diameter. Signed. Cushing was professor of ceramics at Alfred University. His works are in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Smithsonian, the National Design Museum, the Everson Museum to just name a few.
Decorative paté jar, the lid of which is topped by a reclining, sleepy duck. Made around 1920 by Heubach, an old family business in Thuringia, Germany. Octagonal and hand painted with panels of stylized roses. In all, the design is between Art Nouveau / Jugendstil and Art Déco. With the printed Heubach Kunst Porzellan mark in use from 1910 to 1945, and impressed model number 10828. Height with the duck "4 ¼ / 11 cm and diameter "4 ¾ / 12 cm. Condition: fine.

This porcelain demitasse cup, saucer and plate was produced in German by Meissen between 1924 and the 1930s. The plate measures
6 1/4 inches in diameter and the saucer is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The cup has the traditional pointed edges on the rim and a twisted branch handle. Each piece has sprays of hand painted flowers. They are realistic and very colorful...
Fine LARGE Glazed Stoneware Studio Pottery Jar - Malcolm Pepper
This large and impressive stoneware jar was made by Malcolm Pepper (1937 - 1980) during the 1970s. It is "heavily-potted" and attractively decorated. Looking inside shows it was thrown in two sections, luted together at the widest part of the body. The outer surface coated in a finely-crackled transparent glaze that has a hint of green. The inner surface coated in a dark iron glaze.

A very cheerful and colorful ceramic paneled vase decorated in the Merrie England motif by Newhall Pottery in England, dating to around 1930. The scenery depicts a castle with beefeater guards from Tudor England. The vivid, warm earth tones make you want to go outside for sunshine.

Wonderful size and design, this mid century modernist tile is by Sylvia Leuchovius (Sweden 1915-2003) for Rorstrand Ceramic company, where she created numerous whimsical and creative objects from functional and industrial to art objects.
Measures 11 3/8" square and 1/2" deep.
Sylvia designed for the Atelje line at Rorstrand, during the production of fine Swedish design for the modern taste, and most objects were made in limited numbers.

A pair of globular small electric bedside lamps decorated with roses hand painted by Joseph Nekola Junior and sold by Plitchta, London. Joseph, the son of Karel Nekola an original decorator at Weymss, was taught by his father to paint the well know roses. After the original factory at Weymss closed the Bovey Pottery in Devon continued to make, “Weymss Ware” with Joseph the decorator and trainer of apprentices...
