This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1930s. It has first quality crossed swords under glaze. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and is 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. A beautiful bird sits on a flowering branch while in insect flutters by. The style is Japanese Kakiemon, done in shades of blue, green. and violet. The cup is sparsely decorated with a flower sprig here and a bug, in a minimalist manner...

German Rosenthal marked Porcelain Charger with handle, serving Platter, 12 1/4" wide include 2 handles, 11 3/4" round, not include 2 handles, 1 1/8" high, beautiful hand painted large floral decoration in brilliant gold in the center in the cobalt blue background and both handles and rim are in gold finish. Underglaze green mark "Rosenthal" "Selb-Germany, Helena" on the bottom. The condition is excellent, specially gold finish.

This Art Deco charger, c 1939, is from Kupittaan pottery in Finland. The decoration, a male nude combined with a border of laurel leaves, suggests a Olympics venue. The 1940 Olympic Games, originally scheduled for Japan, was rescheduled for Helsinki, Finland. Those games were postponed because of the Soviet invasion of Finland in 1939. This charger probably was created in anticipation of the Helsinki games. It measures 14" in diameter, and is in mint condition. A very rare object.

This really pretty Dresden Duchess 7 Inch Salad Plate was made by Harker China. This Plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The decoration and gold trim is all very good. These 11 porcelain plates were produced in Bavaria by C.M. Hutschenreuther between 1927 and 1941. Black Knight is the registered trade mark used by the exporter Graham & Zenger of New York. The plates measure 9 7/8 inches inches in diameter. They are decorated with a factory transfer with hand painted accents. They are surrounded by fine, lacy gilding of tiny vines and flowers. Bands of embossed gilding trim the rims and around the center of the plates...
