Beautiful Japanese studio vase, in the form of a Han Dynasty cocoon vase, in the Mingei style, mid 20th century. Very reminiscent of the work of Kawai Kanjiro. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in 1942. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/8 inches and the cup is 1 3/4 inches high. The blank is named “Maria.” The cup has a pedestal base and the rim of the saucer has embossed decoration around the rim. The cup has a gilded interior. There is a bold geometric pattern in gold and orange that repeats itself around the cup and saucer. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold...

This Limoges cider, milk or lemonade pitcher is hand painted in a popular Art Nouveau motif with blooming flowers and green lily pads. Lots of very sophisticated gold on this piece make it attractive. 8" tall. It is Hallmarked with the William Guerin French porcelain factory mark #3 in green underglaze white ware with "Limoges" and "France". Ca 1900-1932 . There are no chips, no cracks and no repairs to this item. It is in fantastic condition. Looks a great deal like Picard work.

Charmingly kitschy majolica figurines, a pair of musicians by Ditmar Urbach, c 1930. An accordionist and a flutist, in Robin Hood-like attire. Height "9½/ 24 cm. Printed mark Ditmar Urbach Made in Germany, impressed model numbers 14257 and 142 58. The mark was in use before the confiscation of the factory in 1938 . Condition: a nick to the hand of one musician and repair to the hat of the other, and to the feet of both (cf. photos).

The handle and roses on the lid are applied. The dish is hand painted in brilliant colors and amply gilded. It would be used as a pot-pourri dispenser.
