This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid 20th century. The saucer has a diameter of
4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The cup features an entwined branch handle. Both pieces are expertly hand painted with realistic flowers that are brightly colored. The cup and saucer have matching flowers. The rims are trimmed with gold.
Condition: Excellent. This is a first quality set.
Number 9 in a series of 12 Fornasetti plates commissioned in the 1970’s by Martini & Rossi. Each plate depicts an item in their wine museum in Pessione, in this case the first barrel – Il Primo Tino - used for the fabrication of the famous Martini vermouth. Pessione is a village in northern Italy, not far from Torino. The back of the plate gives a contextual presentation of the plate and has the Fornasetti brush in hand mark. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.7 cm. Condition: fine.
Art Déco vase by Camille Tharaud, 1925-30. Camille Tharaud (1878-1956) came from a family of porcelain makers in Limoges. He collaborated with designers like Marcel Goupy and Henri Rapin. At the International exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts in Paris 1925, Tharaud was prized for his technique of high-fire enamelling directly onto the raw porcelain. Standing on sweeping foot, the blue bowl is decorated in the round with classical figural and objective motifs. Excellent condition save for a couple of stains in the bowl.

Six superbly decorated sectional dinner plates from, France or possibly Italy, Eames era, 1960s. Of lozenge shape, hand painted and glazed in black, lemon yellow, brown and lime green. Width: 9 ¾"/25cm. Condition: restored rim chip to one plate as seen on photo, otherwise fine.
This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Berlin, Germany by KPM, Konigliche Porzellan Manufactor in 1921. There is a date cipher impressed in the porcelain indicating this year. The saucer measures 5 inches and the cup is 2 inches high and 3 ¼ inches in diameter. The porcelain is delicate. It is hand painted with colorful bouquets of flowers in the Meissen style. It has gold trim and gilded accents.

Two lovely pottery vases by Czech Dux, c 1930 or late 1920’s, the larger vase drop shaped, the smaller one bulbous. Slip glaze decoration of grapes in blue, green and brown over white. Height “11 ½ / 29 cm and “4 / 10.5 cm respectively. Green acorn within triangle mark and DUX to the larger vase, impressed model numbers to both. Condition: minor crackling to glaze of the smaller vase, the larger with a nick to the foot rim.
Four small bowls or dishes, coasters or ashtrays by Jean Rivier in French Vallauris, all slightly different, variations of a decorative theme between modernism and primitive art very much en vogue in the 1950’s. Jean Rivier (1915 – 2017) established himself as a ceramist in Vallauris in 1952. A beautiful hand painted Willets Belleek handled bowl with fancy crimped rim. The bowl is 5 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches tall. Measured across the handles, the bowl is 6 ½ inches. The underside bears the brown Willets Belleek mark used from the mid 1880's to 1909. The decoration consists of pink roses with green foliage surrounding a large gold scroll bearing a series of tuquoise beads, each of which is surounded by gold dots...
This porcelain vase was produced in France by Thauraud Limoges in the 1920s. It is 6 inches tall and is 6 inches in diameter. The porcelain has a molded pattern in the porcelain, giving it texture. The ground color blends from cobalt blue to light blue. There is a floral decoration, accented with gilding, which follows the molded design. It gives the vase a pate sur pate feel. The flowers are stylized in the art deco fashion.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Denmark by Dahl Jensen before 1970. It has a model number 1005 on the base. It is 5 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches high. The kitty is modeled in reclining pose. He has a little twitch in his tail as if he were just awakening from a nap. Now it’s time for a game or maybe a snack. He is hand painted with the most beautiful cat eyes.
Condition: Excellent, first quality.
