This classic Mandruzatto block vase, done in the Sommerso technique with layers of ruby in crystal glass, has 8 cut and polished facets. While a labor intensive technique, this style reveals the elegant beauty of the glass, and produces wonderful optics. Made in 1970s or 80s. It stands 6 1/2" h by 3" diameter. The piece is in excellent condition. It has "Made in Murano Italy" label.

A bowl or ashtray in black, still transparent glass. No marks, but Italian (Murano) and probably by Alfredo Barbini, 1950's. The interior iridescent in "oily" rainbow or mother-of-pearl shades so that, in combination with the lobed design, a sea-shell effect is created. The exterior also iridescent, in a metal-like shade. Width: 3 ¾"/10 cm, height: 2"/5 cm. Condition: small nick to bottom at 3 o'clock as shown in the photo, otherwise fine.

Exquisitely executed shell bowl composed of transparent blue, green and gold aventurine canne. The shell channels the colors of Venice and its sun and waters. Measuring 4.5"x5"x2"h, the piece is in excellent condition, unmarked.

Beautiful handkerchief or fazzoletto bowl with white filigree and twisted green rods, the green surrounded by glittering aventurine strands. Murano, c 1960, unmarked but probably by the Fratelli Toso glassworks. Height "5 / 12.5 cm. Condition: fine.

One of those mid-century Murano glass shell designs inspired by the surrounding Adriatic Sea. The shell bowl is scalloped with a scroll twist that nicely modernizes the form. The piece contains a galaxy of polychrome inclusions and gold and silver foil. Measuring 2.5"h x 6"dia., the bowl is in perfect condition, unmarked

Green and yellow duck figural on a clear decanter in the form of a rock formation (or iceberg?. Seguso made these decanters for Luxardo in the 1960's. Height of the duck/decanter is 12 inches (30cm). Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs, tiny rough spot to underside of one wing tip. Unsigned. Please note: the blue water in the deacanter was added only to take the photo, and will not be present when shipped.

The sophisticated designer arrangement of murrine in this paperweight is notable. The leaf murrine can be found in other Toso paperweights. The green center of the flower murrine is nicely tied in to the leaf motif. The murrine are cased in crystal and this lattice type layer of murrine gives the weight a nice airy quality. Measuring 3.75 dia. x 2.75"h., the paperweight is in excellent condition, unmarked.

Black swirls on background of burnt orange glass form this letter holder from a desk set series produced by Salviati in the late 1970's. The piece stands 4 inches (10 cm) tall, 6 inches (15 cm) wide, and is 3 inches (7.6 cm) deep. There is a small, less than 1/8 inch (.3 cm), flake on the edge of the piece, but otherwise in fine condition. Circa 1975

Fazzoletto (handkerchief) vase in an unusual bicolor combination of black (dark reddish purple) glass cased in a medium blue opaque glass, giving the over all effect of a black interior with grey-blue exterior. Vase has an undulating rim rather than pulled points. There is a tiny pinhead size burst bubble (fleabite) to the rim, and two tiny areas with surface scratches. No cracks or repairs. Fazzoletto (handkerchief) vase with undulating rim in red (exterior) and white (interior) glass. The technique for fusing the two colors of glass is known as incamiciato. The vase measures 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall and is 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) in diameter. Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This has some minor wear to the base as expected. Some tooling marks are visible where the artist crimped the rim, these occur during manufacturing and are not damage. Circa 1950's...

Scrambled glass paperweight, millefiori, broken canes, chunks and blurred murrines cased in a light raspberry or amethyst glass (hard to tell but definitely not colorless glass) Measures 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm) wide by 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm) tall. Has KB Import label and Blue on silver foil AF MURANO Cockerel label. Condition is excellent with no bruises, cracks or chips. Circa 1950 - 1960.

Fine strand of prewar WWII, glass Venetian trade beads from Africa, L: 58cm/23in. These are strung on a contemporary cotton green string with copper wire fastener.
