Leslie Pina describes this piece as "Bischoff bearded collie dog in gray and white alabastro with black and white eyes, and curled tail, 1969" in her book, "ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO, LACE & STONE", P. 178. These bottles were made to hold cherry brandy (this one is empty). Liquor bottle aside, the sculptural quality of this opalino beauty is notable! This fine vessel is 11 1/2" H, 4"W, 3" D, maintains its original Bischoff label, has a nicely polished base and is in perfect condition.

A nice quality openwork pierced sterling silver serving tray by Ryrie Ellis (later Birks) c1920s. This 9" tray features hand engraving in the cutouts and it weighs 182.5 grams. It is stamped STERLING 925 R MADE IN CANADA, and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. Very vintage signed Lillian Pines sterling fan pin. A contemporary of Mary Gage, as they both died a year apart from each other in the early mid 90's. While this maker was born in New Hampshire, Mary Gage died in nearby Maine. This fan style is her familiar motif using applied silver balls and curly Qs. Stamped LILLIAN PINES STERLING in back of one of the 1 1/2" fans connected with a 5 1/2 and 6" flat "S" chain. Each has a working safety clasp pinback and weighs a total of 23 Grams...

Czech Artist Joseph M. Kratina 1872-1953, a beautiful and historic George Washington Bicentennial Gilded Bronze Plaque measuring 22x17” dates 1732-1932 Mr Kratina, was born in Prague and studied at L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and the Académie Julian in Paris, after becoming a sculptor and also a teacher.

Being offered is a circa 1940 sterling silver salad set by William Spratling of Taxco, Mexico. Handwrought servers with allover spot hammering; an applied flattened ball at the end terminal of the handles; hammered bowl and tines. Dimensions: fork - 9 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide; spoon - 9 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. Typical of Spratling, great design, construction and weight.

REPLY: Available and quite sharp. Vintage ornate granulated chased applied rope silver metal work dagger, sheath and chain scarf hair pin tie clip. The blade edges were made wavy.
Simply stamped: 5 and 900 (90% compared to 92.5% for sterling) presumably for the silver content as it tests at least that. Just under 2 1/2". Super condition with decades of rich patina.
