A fine quality water pot for use on the scholars desk. The porcelain is very white and translucent. The fine blue art work shows two five toed dragons chasing the flaming pearl. There is a six character Guangxu Dynasty mark on the base, but it is not the mark used by the Royal Kiln. As the pot is not Imperial Ware we believe it was made during the Republic Period in Guangxu Style...

A mid century Japanese Biraki Kimono Tansu (chest with hinged doors) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) Wood. Two large hinged doors open to a set of three Kimono trays. Side handles used for carrying the tansu from place to place. Front door plates feature Paulownia flowers and leaves.

A mid century Japanese single section Kimono chest called Isho Tansu made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand made bronze hardware. Constructed using hardened wooden nails and Japanese joinery.Age: Showa Era (1960's)

From our Fine Arts and Americana Collection, a nice set of vintage American nightstands dating from the 1950's, constructed of solid hardwood with Carpathian Elm burl veneers.

Not much is known about the Bethlehem Furniture Manufacturing Corp. of Red Lion Pennsylvania that crafted this set, but they were apparently a small niche manufacturer active from the late 19th century up until the mid 20th century...

A vintage Japanese contemporary low Mizuya Tansu made from solid Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Two sliding doors open to a spacious storage area. Three side by side drawers along the bottom with Hikute iron handles. Taiko drum nail heads decorate the sliding doors and horizontal side bars add structural strength as well as aesthetic beauty to the chest.

Gendarme Vintage Solo French Club Chair. Huge, comfortable French Club chair solo. The Gendarme back chairs get their name from the Shape of Napoleon and the French Gendarmes(Policemans hat) from the mid 19th century. Pair of monumental sized Chinese coromandel type screens. Four panels each, for eight panels. Incised and polychrome lacquered decoration of immortals in heavenly palace-garden landscape. Good and serviceable condition. Vintage, probably about mid 20th century or earlier. Height, 8 feet high (about 244 cm). Width, each panel 16 inches wide (about 40.64 cm each panel).
