Chinese dingyao bowl of shallow conical form with lobed rim. The widely flaring sides divided into six lobes, with indentations along the rim corresponding to thin raised lines radiating from the circular inner well.

Age: Song Dynasty (960 - 1279)

Condition: Very good overall condition. Some kiln grit and a firing flaw on one of the lobes.

The top rim is covered in gilt, complete with an iron red surrounding border. In the middle is a ribbon. The inside is glazed white, as well as the base with the base rim left unglazed...

The inside of each is glazed white. The base glazed the same with a double circle in under-glaze blue. These vases are quite large and heavy.
