Round Chinese wooden red lacquer storage box with auspicious symbols in gold. In excellent condition commensurate with age, measures 7.5" diameter x 3" high. Dates first half 20th century.

Chinese antique turned wooden brush pot in Huanghuali wood. The pot tapers towards the triple beaded turned base, fashioned to look like a stand and has a slightly rolled top with a recessed base. No mark. Good patination of the wood.

Approximately 22 cm high by 17-1/5 cm diameter at widest point.

Good condition with normal signs of use.

Note: I have lightened some of the pictures up quite a bit so that the details of the grain of the wood can be seen.

Chinese teakwood tabletop display stand. Each of the four tiers for holding objects has carved frieze decoration. 18” wide x 15” high x 5 1/4" deep. 20th century. Very good overall condition. Some of the frieze decoration was loose and has been re-glued. From a Sun City West, Arizona collection. Please note that the miniature Chinese ceramics are not included.

Chinese huang huali box from the mid 20th century. The box is beautifully decorated with dragons on the front doors and the top. The top of the box and doors open to reveal an open compartment and four drawers. The box has handles on either side. The piece is fitted with bronze metal hardware. It measures 14" wide 9.5" deep 13.5" tall.

This is a marvelous old root carving that Dan Tretiak called Early bird gets the worm.

Vintage Chinese wooden stand of simple rectangular shape with a waist register and 4 short legs. The top has four L-shaped recessed areas in the corners to accommodate a ceramic or bronze object. Beautiful dark dense rosewood with wonderful patina, in excellent condition. Maximum length of the top 104 mm, maximum width of the top 78 mm, height 37 mm.

Beautiful calligraphy box made from precious Chinese zitan wood, with carved compartments for an inkstone and water dropper. Kanji markings on bottom of dropper, aged piece of wood also with kanji marks is included in this set. The inkwell still has old ink remnants. Gorgeous woodgrain with a lovely shine. This very nice boxwood statue with a fitted hard wood base is a mid 20th century product. It depicts a legendary Chinese figure called Ji Gong with one hand holding a wine bottle and the other hand petting his pet lion. It is 9 ½” high (with base is 10 7/16” high), 7 ¾” wide and 4” thick. As the story goes, Ji Gong was a Buddhist of the Southern Song; his dates are 1148~1209. His original name was Li Xin-Yuan. He came from Tai-Zhou in modern Zhe Jiang province, Lin-Hai county...
