A woven wool sash from Tibet, circa mid to late 20th century. Measuring 15.3 x 300 cm including the fringes, it is in overall good condition, but with some fraying. A Tibetan ewer beautifully worked in silver alloy, probably with later gilding. The compressed body with two cartouches showing the subject of "the four harmonious brothers" and a monk sitting under a tree among animals and treasures. Very unusual “janus” designed mushroom mask; one side shows the native wrinkled face of the mushroom whereas the opposite side shows a smooth face with more carving work. A king-sized cotton duvet cover from Nepal, measuring 111 x 74½" inches (43.7 x 29.3 cm) in purple, red and green. The viúvavajra ("crossed vajra") and chevron motifs are depicted in wool thread in chain stitch. Condition: Excellent. The vajra (meaning diamond or thunderbolt) is believed to represent firmness of spirit and spiritual power and is displayed in the national emblem of Bhutan.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the Kartika, or Drigug, is a ritual flaying knife used in burial rituals, with the handle crafted as a dorje. A tool of the wrathful female deities known as Dakinis, the kartika symbolizes the cutting of all things material, symbolized by the human body. The blade is left dull (never sharpened) because it was used in a ritual representing the flaying of flesh and not for the actual purpose.

Tibetan Himalayan Dzi glass bead, 42mm x 7mm(1 3/4" long x 1/2" diameter).

Suoerbly cast five prong vajra, with delicate details, on the makara heads, as well as on the stylised lotus. Bronze with fine dark patina. Tibet, mid 20th century, maybe earlier. Length: 12 cm. Very good condition.

These mall sized ghurras are used to churn small quantity of milk when in summer pasture with sheep, the carving shows 4 separated poles joined with a rope knot and surmounted by 4 milk pots supporting a ram , very nice black patina with important signs of used, at least from mid 20th, from Rukkum district . Old mask with black patina, presence of goat skin with black hairs to represent hairs, eyelashes, eyebrows, mustaches and beard. The mouth is open showing the sculpted upper teeth. A rare model of Ghurra composed of a chain with 2 square links whose upper link carries an ancestor seated at its top who seems to be in a meditation position. The lower link shows on each of its 4 faces naive sculptures of various mythical animals, elephant, deer, cow, dog and peacock. The ancestor measures 9 cm high, his face measures 3 cm. Small drum handle probably from the small drum of a young shaman. The patina is light brown with beautiful sculptures showing deep reliefs.
