The top shows 3 ancestors faces who are protectors of the family, they are surmounted by a conical crown with carved geometrical lines. The middle part is a “Dorgi”, the symbol of cosmic power. The down part is triangular blade used as a knife to nail the bad spirits while the shaman is fighting with devils and demons. Beautiful and robust ghurra with a beautiful patina of use, the top figure a house, the center part shows 4 pillars connected by ropes that surmount rows of milk jugs, the rotation hole shows important signs of use. H 24 cm, maximum thickness 6 cm

Important and rather rare ancient statue from West Nepal (Karnali River districts but possibly Jumla region). The statue shows a protector standing with his hands folded in the ritual gesture of Namaste. Note the treatment of the arms showing a rounded rather than angular elbow joint. The eye openings are diamond-shaped. Semi-hard wood with black patina with residual plaster of offerings and mineral plasters which have either been cleaned or lost over time...

Worn for festival, this shapely Tibetan belt is covered with black and coral colored beads, cowrie shells and has a central medallion of silver with turquoise beads. The belt is secured around the waist with cord ties which extend from each side, I have used it as a wall decoration. At the widest section, the belt is 4 inches...The entire beaded length is 26 inches, but with the cord ties it will accommodate a large waist size

Tibetan shamanic horn whose local name is Nag Ru or sometimes also Thun-rva. This horn can contain either incense or essentially vegetable matter with medicinal properties. Presence of sculptures of some auspicious symbols, chorten, turtle, dorgi, mandala. The tapered part represents a Makara mouth which has an orifice to project the contents during rituals. Very good condition, good age at least mid-20th. H 16 cm, max diameter 4.5 cm
