Beautiful Japanese small silver lidded box with oval shape, decorated with 2 kiri mon and characters on lid, back has maker's stamp, in original kiri box also with maker's name, c. 1930's. Size: 2 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide x 1/4" think.

Vintage Japanese kiriwood kogo (box for incense during tea ceremony) in a form of an open fan with painted decoration of blooming kikyo-zaki (Japanese morning glory) with leaves and tendrils. Comes with tomobako (original storage box made by the artist) inscribed, signed and stamped with a seal of Munehiro Michiba, Very clever design, in perfect condition. Great piece in Japanese taste. Length 3 5/8 inches.

Kashigata (wooden sweet mold,) Momiji (Japanese Maple) motif. Japan, early 20th C. L.8.125"(20.5cm) x W.3.0"(7.5cm) x H.1.75"(3.5cm.) This kashigata displays 2 Japanese maple leaves. As seasonality was often a concern in Japanese confectionery tradition, this image would have been a lovely inference to the autumn season...

Japanese early 20th century earthenware teapot by SASAKI NIROKU. The wonderful teapot has a Chinese landscape design carved into the side. The teapot measures 5 1/4" wide, 4 3/4" tall and 5" deep.

The natural ash glaze gradates from a light-glossy grey on one side to a blueish grey on the other. The foot of the bowl is unglazed at the base and shows traces of ferrous-rich clay in the form of an orangish hue. The mouth of the piece is somewhat oblong giving it an attractive shape and the rough texture and ash deposits in places give this bowl a weighty presence...

Japanese hand hammered Copper Water Container or Mizusashi for tea ceremony, 6 3/4" high with dark brown lacquered on wood top, 6 1/4" diameter, shape of ancient urn. The condition is good, except little lacquer losses on the side edge of the cover.

The uneven margin is due to the creping process.

Gorgeous antique kimono in the best condition. Lined with red gauze silk, it is completely reversible. The color of the black silk has changed over the years to a very dark brownish gray evenly. The colors of the design are very classic Japanese colors as Imari red (brownish red) and same earth tone in every other colors. There is one tiny hole (1/16" in size) right by a family crest, Mon. There is no color loss inside.

Japanese ceramic square dish by famed artist Otagaki Rengetsu (1791-1875) with lovely grass calligraphy, tan milky translucent crackle glaze, curled edges, four oval feet, bottom incised with floral pattern and signature. Four rounded feet raise bottom surface...

Japanese limited edition color etching and aquatint titled "Paris" by Kenji Ushiku (1922-?). Pencil-signed, titled, and numbered 63/150 in the bottom margin. Ushiku was particularly active in the 1960s and 1970s. There is a pencil notation of "4-80-45" at the bottom edge which could perhaps imply a date of April 1980. Paper size: 15 1/2" x 22." Very good overall condition. Printed on heavy rag paper with large margins. Never framed.
