Five unique plates by Tomimoto Kenkichi, from various eras depicting bucolic scenery each uniquely signed on the back. Kenkichi changed his signature regularly, which makes it very easy to date his works. These date from the 1950s. Each is between 18.5 and 19.5 cm diameter (roughly 7-1/2 inches). The overall is 15.55 inches (39.6 cm ) long by 20.5 inches (51 cm) wide. The fan shape plaque is 8.6 inches (21.8 cm) long by 17.8 inches (45.4 cm) wide. The total weight is 4.1 Lb.

Japanese "Tokugawa" Shogun Clan Mon polished Brass decoration, early 1900's, 2 1/2" diameter, 3/8" deep, with impressed raised design of 3 Hollyhock Crest, 3 small nail holes at the edge. The condition is good.

Basket from Northern Burma probaby from the Rawang or other Kachin related group. . Approximately 50 or 60 years old. Increasingly difficult to source, this is a fine example of Burmese tribal basketry. Condition: good natural polished feel to the surface, a couple of “breaks” on upper rim of basket. The hole in the handle lid seems to intentional, as it has the same wear as the rest of the piece. Dimensions: 20cm/8in height 15.5cm/6.2in diameter.

Characteristically carved with bamboo, and charmingly contrasted with black lacquer lining on inside. Top holder is dish like depth, and bottom holder is designed deeper to hold flowers. Silk meisen kimono with double kasuri apple and strawberry pattern on yellow ground. Kasuri pattern was dyed with stencil-resist-dye (katazome) for both weft and warp yarn (heiyo-kasuri). Generally in good condition but has some brownish stains and some in the lining too and the silk tape in the hem is a bit dirty. Mid 20th century. 126cm x 146cm

Beautiful Chinese antique Qilin covered censer carved from one single piece of agate with natural striations across the body. Qilin are a Chinese mythical beast sometimes associated with giraffes or Camelopard. The lid is carved into a detailed lion. Incised decorations of animal heads and scrolling designs with lots of detail. The handles branch out and attach to the body in the form of Qilin heads supporting loose rings as handles...

Trunk box made of wicker, bamboo and leather. It has washi (Japanese handmade paper) lining with kanji letters. It has black leather for reinforcement.
