A rare piece of early Maroon culture. Surinamese Maroons (Marrons or Businenge, meaning black people of the forest) are the descendants of enslaved Africans that escaped from the plantations and settled in the inland of Suriname (Dutch Guiana) and French Guiana. Early Chinese Pottery Horse and Rider Possibly Tang, nice old burial figure with remains of its original pigment colors as well as burial dirt fills his underside. Loss of tail and figure reattached. Size H 12.5" by 9" by 3"

Brass Lingam Cover India, Maharashtra, 18th- 19th century Cast in the form of Siddhartha Gautama’s head, with straight nose and bulging eyes, the hair tied in a bun with a headband , incised detail on the forehead eyelashes and brows with very well done ears. H 5.5" w w 5.5"

Chinese Han Dynasty seated terracotta figure of a male musician or game player, you can see traces of red and white colored paint. Both hands now missing and and a firing crack in the lower back but stable . Size H 7 1/4" w 4 1/4" d 3"
Neolithic Hongshan Nephrite Jade cicada Insect toggle pendant .The figure of a cicada insect the jade is well worn with deposits. The Suspension holes are biconically off set drilled with mineral deposits within. The entire surface is covered in tremolite growth , a wonderful pendant. Size l 2.5" . Collected HK 1980-1995
Ming Dynasty carved wood figure of a Lokapala or guardian king , this piece is interesting in that it had been in a fire and the temple decided to rework the piece by layering rice paper and re lacquering and gilding the piece, there are some remaining hair.Size H 12"
Large Japanese Bronze cat paw tripod Urn with Birds . Probably early 20th c urn with 4 wonderful high relief scenes of birds flowers and trees. Phoenix handles and sea dragon topped legs . Very well done no marked one piece undamaged could use a polish. Size H 18.25" W 9" weight 10 pounds.
A Chinese underglaze-blue painted porcelain ewer and cover. The spout with six-character Ming Dynasty Xuande mark. The inside glazed white, the base glazed with a blue tint. The body of the ewer finely painted all over with lotus flowers, scrolls, leaves and fruits.

An antique Chinese blue glazed brushpot. The glaze stopping short of both the top and bottom rim. The inside glazed white, as well as the recessed base with the base rim covered in a brown wash. Unmarked

A square section Chinese baluster vase. Painted on two faces with scholars & their attendants beneath trees, with texts and seals on the other two faces. The inside and recessed base glazed.
Size is 16-1/4" high by 6-1/4" wide by 4-3/4" depth.
Condition is very good, no breaks or cracks.

Hongshan Turquoise or Malachite totem pendant . Beautiful stone carved with a snarled nose frowning face the end with eyes seems to be a cicada when laying flat. Biconically drilled suspension holes with mineral deposits . Weight 34 g size just under 3" by .75"
Hongshan Chicken Bone Jade Bird or Parrot sitting with long tail, beautiful color of stone with burial staining looks like ancient buried bone. Nice condition with a large suspension hole containing deposits. Well worn and used no damage . Collected HK 1980-1995 . Size 2.5" by 1.2"
Chinese porcelain under-glaze blue and white baluster jar with cover. Decorated all around with prunus and cracked ice design. The inside and base glazed white. The lid glazed in the same design.
