Japanese shin hanga woodblock print by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) titled "Heirinji Temple Bell" dated in the left margin 1951. The print is pencil-signed in the lower right margin with the artist's red seal above. Early edition likely dating from the 1950s/60s. Paper size: 15 5/8" x 10 5/8" (image: 14 1/2" x 9 1/2"). Very good overall condition. There are some tiny printing smudges in the lower left margin...

Beautifully carved Green Spinach Jade Chinese Boulder with landscape scenes of mountainous village with go players and bamboo groves, peaked rooflines and finely written calligraphy poetry on two surfaces on an interesting wooden reticulated branch base. Ojiya chijimi unlined kimono which was produced in Ojiya city area in Niigata prefecture. It has uneven surface like crepe, which is improved from Echigo-jofu, which has been woven of choma (ramie) since more than 1000 years ago in the region. The first half of the 20th century. This chawan was fired in the kilns of one of Kyoto’s best known raku-yaki potters, Sasaki Shoraku III (1944-). The Shoraku line began when the grandfather of the current potter established a kiln near the famous Kiyomizu temple, nestled at the foot of the eastern mountains in Kyoto. In 1945, the kiln was moved to Kameoka near the Yada shrine where it remains today.

Raku teabowls are made by hand, without the use of a potter's wheel...

Lifetime edition Japanese shin hanga chuban sized woodblock print titled in kanji and English "Supper Wagon" by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) dated Showa 13 (1938). Pencil-signed at the lower right margin and with the artist's black ink signature and red seal in the image above. Paper: 7 3/4" x 10 1/2" (image: 6 5/8” x 9 3/8”). Very good overall condition with full margins.

This is a samurai armor set (yoroi and helmet) for Boy’s Day in Japan. By displaying a set like this, the parents hope to inspire boys in their manliness, bravery, discipline and the honor codes that come with it.

Antique Chinese guan pi xiang (document box), made of huanghuali hardwood and finely cut brass plate mounts and hinges. The top opens and is held in place by a small chain. The doors open to reveal 7 drawers of different sizes. Each drawer has been fitted with jewelry tray inserts covered in white raw silk.

Signed Zohiko lacquer tea caddy. Decoration of Mt Fuji and pine tree in lake landscape on black ground. Pleasant textures, reminiscent of Zeshin, are imparted to the surface of Fuji-san and the pine tree. Zohiko mark inside the foot. Overall good condition with a couple inconspicuous small chips to the lacquer along the rim of the cover. Height, 3 inches (7.62 cm). Diameter 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm)
