Japanese limited edition cement mortar block print pencil-titled in kanji "Poem 69-69" (indicating production in 1969) by Maki Haku (1924-2000). Pencil-signed and numbered 59/155 in the lower margin. The artist's square red seal is at the lower left corner of the image. This print features the highly embossed ideographs characteristic of Maki's work. The designs were created by inscribing on wet cement. Paper size: 19 5/8" x 13 1/2" (image size: 18 3/16" x 12 5/16"). Very good overall condition...

The back of the lid is made of golden hiramaki-e lacquer on a black background, representing in a close-up a branch of a Japanese cherry tree with its three fruits, with light brown outlines revealing a ring of the tree. Inside the box and base in nashi-ji lacquer. The Japanese cherry tree (Prunus serrulata) is an emblematic tree of the country, producing the cherry blossoms (sakura)...

This is a wedding shift from Indus Kohistan in Pakistan. Kohistan, meaning "land of mountains", has been a crossroads between Central, South and Southwestern Asia, absorbing artistic influences from the ancient Greeks and Scythians. Measuring 190 cm extended from sleeve to sleeve, the bust is 45 cm; arm opening: 34 cm; from shoulder to bottom hem: 104 cm. The embroidery technique is brick stitch and cross stich in a combination of acrylic and silk thread. Condition is excellent...

The paint original and unrestored, no chips or damage other then scuffs. The figure shows dendrite deposits throughout. Size 11.5" by 3.5" by 3.25"

A lovely pairing of the bodhisattva diety Kwan Yin riding a Chinese lion or fu dog. The Kwan Yin is set in a leisurely pose with her medicine bottle. Japanese Stoneware hanging Vase with green and purple color drip glaze over dark brown unglazed surface, 4 3/4" high, 3 1/4" x 3 3/4" wide, the condition is good, no damages.

Small dance mask made of a turtle shell at its center, in a kind of frame made of soil and sagotree resin with multiple cowries inserts and painted in red, white and black, surrounded with remnants of cassowary feathers. Papua New Guinea, Middle Sepik region, Palimbei, Iatmul ethnic group. Mid 20th century period. Height: 21 cm. A few small old accidents, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: old Italian collection. IMPORTANT NOTE: export ONLY to the European Community.

Early to mid 19th century game box, holding a box of bone playing tokens plus two lacquered wooden trays on the left and 8 sculpted lacquer trays on the right. Generally the box is in good condition.
