Lacquer over wood picnic set in an open carrier; consisting on the top tier of a small rectangular box, presumably for utensils, and five small trays. Below them is a covered three tier jubako box. The black lacquer is incised in places and otherwise decorated with gilt and silver blossom sprays. A small copper/brass handle is on the top. Many of the edges are gilt. This is a truly elegant shaped TOBO vase by Erich and Ingrid Triller. It measures 6 3/8" (16cm) tall. On the underside is painted Tobo Triller. The unusual glaze is a yellow ochre, and one of the finest examples of the Triller's artistry. Mint condition.

Richly enameled with vibrant colors this snuff bottle features a bee headed towards a group of flowers. The cap is a red stone and the bottle is hand painted and signed on the bottom. A nice piece for the beginning collector which will only increase in value over time. Measures 3.75 inches high.

Old (1940's) Japanese Burgundy Color Plique a Jour Cloisonne Enamel Vase with Flowers Marked "Yamamoto Cloisonne" CPO

It is 3.54 inches (9 cm) tall by 2.36 inches (6 cm) wide. It is 101 gram.

It is painted some sort of shellac at the inside. The shellac has since cracks and faded and that is why it has a crazing and dripping look. It has tarnished metal, minor missing enamels, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

This is a lovely rosewood music box with a cylinder that plays six tunes. The cylinder can be replaced and others added, but we only have this one for the box. There is no list of the songs it plays, but it has one of the loveliest sounds of any music box we've had. It measures 27 1/2" long x 11 3/4" wide x 8" tall.

Beautiful and old butter rod guide, this long-handled model is characteristic of the Tamang ethnic group and of the Rameschap places. The surface is finely and richly carveded with symmetrical patterns inspired by basket weaving. The 2 medallions located at the top certainly bore the faces of a protective ancestor. There are obvious signs of use at the level of the large orifice which serves as a guide for the churning stick (local name is "mandani")...
