An earthenware terracotta bottle vase and stopper. The vase is decorated with transfer printed "famille rose" enamels depicting flowers birds and marine life. This item was made by Watcombe pottery, Torquay, which was operational from 1869 to 1883. The base carries the impressed date mark for October 1878. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the footrim (please view enlargements) and a tiny chip to the underside of the cover; there are also minor losses to the enamels...

This is an unusual Chinese porcelain Famille Rose covered cup made for the European market, with gilded rope twist handles; late 18th century. Condition: chip inside rim of cup. Measurement: 5"h x 5" dia.

An antique Chinese seal chop of soapstone with an image of Hotei. Chinese seals are used with red ink or cinnabar paste (zhusha). A seal in an East is a general name for printing stamps and impressions which are used in lieu of signatures in personal documents, office paperwork, contracts, art, or any item requiring acknowledgement or authorship. The process started in China and soon spread across East Asia.

Southern Plains Beaded Hide Doll probably Comanche Kiowa, c. 1900. She has yellow ochre high-top moccasins, yarn hair, and an ink-drawn face. She is 12" tall.

A trinket box made from Bog Oak - a partially fossilized wood formed as a result of immersion in Irish peat bogs for approximately 5000 years. The wood has been turned and finely carved with Shamrock leaves and a central Trinity Harp and was made in Ireland in the second half of the 19th Century during the reign of Queen Victoria. Condition: excellent - no damages or losses. 7.5cm (3 inches) diameter; 6cm (2.3 inches) high.

This is a Chinese Export blue and white Canton pattern porcelain pot de creme with cover, circa 1810-1820, having an entwined-strap handle decorated with gilt on blue floral terminals. The porcelain cover has a fruit-sprig knop. Measurements: 3 1/2 in. H; Condition: rim chips, small hairlines, wear to gilt.

Indian Jain bronze figure of Vishnu with Lakshmi seated on his knee. Six other figures are present including 2 attendants on the bottom. The figure on the bottom is their friend and vehicle, Garuda. Incised with writing on the base and back.

A Rare and Exquisite Jadeite Table Screen with Hand-Carved Motifs. The green jadeite table screen depicts a traditionally dressed man standing amid bamboo and plum-trees, with two cranes dancing along. A very fine 19th century Imperial Russian wooden Easter egg with polychrome decoration of Christ Pantocrator in the traditional double gesture of blessing and teaching. The figure, especially the face, is beautifully detailed. The back side of the egg bears the gilt letters "XB" for "Christ is Risen." The egg is completed with its original ribbon, appropriately brittle with age...
