A Japanese woodblock print titled "Nikko Sacred Bridge"by renowned artist Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949). Inscription and red seal in bottom corner. Born in 1870 near Hamamatsu City (Shizuoka Prefecture) with the name"Sahei." Koitsu moved to Tokyo at the age of fifteen. He had planned to apprentice with Matsuzaki, a carver for the artist Kobayashi Kiyochika, but instead, he became Kiyochika's apprentice and moved into his home to study art and print design...

This fine pair of Italian lamps came with a store tag attached to one of the switches that said, "Quackenbush Co. Patterson NJ. This was a local department store that existed from the 1800's to the early 1950's, a fact which provides us a date. The lamps appear to have never been used, in excellent condition and are a nicely matched pair On close inspection one can see that the lamps are hand made , yet nearly identical, pointing to the expertise of the Murano Glass Artisans.

Brilliant folk art piece. A clay 'Fushimi Ningyo' sumo doll from the 1930s. Fushimi Ningyo dolls were sought after souvenirs by visitors to Kyoto. Fushimi Inari being one of the must see great shrines of southern Kyoto. The detail of the arms and fabulous facial expression make this a collector's piece. A Chinese antique pear shaped snuff bottle done in glass overlay with four colours on an opaque white ground. The bottle of compressed ovoid form raising from an oval foot to a tall cylindrical neck. One carved side shows a bird perched on a tall branch holding fruit. On this side the maker has also affixed his mark, from Yangzhou School. On the reverse it shows a bird with overhead butterflies and insects hovering over lily pods in the water...

This is a lovely set of Cohr 4 blue wax candles and 2 silver plate holders. The set is complete in its original box and has never been used. The candlestick holders have a neat, mod design. They measure 3 3/4" (and are concave) x 2 1/8" x 3/4". They have very good heft, weighing 5 ounces. They are marked Cohr with the Cohr maker's mark and DENMARK. The set is in excellent condition! The box is not in excellent condition (see pictures).
