Pair of Midcentury Modern sterling silver 2-light candelabra. Designed by Alphonse La Paglia (d. 1953) for International Silver Co. in Meriden, Conn. Two arms, each comprising two open quadrilateral scrolls inset at center with volute scroll terminating in buds overhanging sides. Each arm terminates in socket. Vintage Japanese kogo (box for incense during tea ceremony) made out of natural clam shell painted with lacquer on the inside with of a gnarled trunk and cherry flowers. Very clever design, rather suggestive erotic (see Enlargement 6) connotation as is usual with clam shape in Japanese culture, two parts fit perfectly and stay closed very well, in superb condition. Signed with a seal of the artist that seem to read TOGAI. Wonderful piece in Japanese taste. Length 3 5/8 inches.

Surinamese Maroons (Marrons or Businenge, meaning black people of the forest) are the descendants of enslaved Africans that escaped from the plantations and settled in the inland of Suriname (Dutch Guiana) and French Guiana. This desirable pattern glass pitcher was made by the Mosser Glass Company of Ohio which used hand pressing to create its beautiful high quality glass. This beaded shell pattern is especially nice with its whited rim and foot. The quatrefoil foot is scalloped holding the body whose stippled walls frame the finely shaped Deco style fan shell in high relief. The rim is also scalloped with lovely undulating ebbs and tides...

This is a really nice pair of Wildfire Teardrop 2 1/4 inch high Salt and Pepper Shakers made by Hall China. These shakers have gold trim and are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The size of Figurine: 5" H x3 1/2" W x 2" D. This is Lovely Vintage Hummel Figurine, Boy w/violin and Puppy Dog. It is Made in W. Germany during period of 1958 - 1972. It has inscription signature of M. J. Hummel on the stand. The condition of Figurine is excellent. Please note the crackle glaze on figure is from original when the figure was in kiln and it is not forced crackle hairline. It was purchased in West Germany in 1970.
