Japanese mid 20th century pure silver pair of cranes and bronze tortoise on large bronze base. The base is done as a small rocky hill with bamboo growing. Done in a wonderful design with great detail. Each crane is marked JUNGIN, or pure silver. The base is signed KATSUNORI, in back. The entire piece measures 22" wide, 18" tall and 14" deep.

Japanese 20th century NEZUMI SHINO ware KASHI BACHI shallow bowl or dish. Signed by artist, KOSABURO, in back. The container has the simple design of a few bamboo leaves. The container measures 6 5/8" long by 6 1/2" wide by 2 1/8" tall.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1174 fan vase - part of the Spanish Knobs variation - in emerald green. The vase is approximately 4 inches high and in perfect condition. The Cape Cod pattern was produced by Imperial Glass Company from 1932 through 1984 when they closed. Not all pieces were made throughout those years, but the long production period is testimony to its lasting popularity. Offered here is the #140 comport & lid in crystal that dates to the 1940's - 50's. The comport stands 10 inches high to the top of the knob handle and is 6 1/4 inches wide. New Life Woodblock Print on Traditional Hanji Paper by Hong Sung Dam in 1982 (29 x 20 inches, 74 x 51 cm, including margins). Hong Sung Dam is a woodblock print artist who was a leader of the minjung, the peoples' political movement that arose from the ashes of the Gwangju Massacre where the Korean government slaughtered hundreds (some witnesses say thousands) of their own citizens in the streets in response to demonstrations in Gwangju...

Basket weave rectangular cache-pot/flower pot and interior liner by Waechtersbach. Decoration of green dots and a printed flower border in late Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style, also running over the handles of the pot. The liner left undecorated. Impressed shield mark and printed blue mark "Wächtersbach" and a black printed mark, possibly a year mark for 1923, December. Width including handles "7¼/ 18,5 cm, height "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: a hairline visible from the inside of one handle.

A German majolica lidded pot or box by the Staatliche Majolika-Manufaktur in Karlsruhe, c 1930's. Of cylindrical shape, the glaze light green, the lid with a crackled finish, and decoration of a rearing horse. Relief moulded mark and model number 4083. Diameter of lid "4/ 10 cm, height including lid "2 1/4/ 5,5 cm. Condition: small glaze flake to inner rim of lid.

Reliquary figure carved in the shape of a standing female, with typical coiffe, serene face with scarifications on forehead, conical breasts, hands joined at abdomen level. The statue is resting on a large wood lid, on which it is affixed with soil material. The reliquary box itself is missing. Wood, with partly encrusted dark patina. Africa, Gabon, Punu Peoples. Height: 18 3/4" (47 cm)...

Fazzoletto (handkerchief) vase in an unusual bicolor combination of black (dark reddish purple) glass cased in a medium blue opaque glass, giving the over all effect of a black interior with grey-blue exterior. Vase has an undulating rim rather than pulled points. There is a tiny pinhead size burst bubble (fleabite) to the rim, and two tiny areas with surface scratches. No cracks or repairs.
