A faceted bottle-form vase with ukibori designs by Kawai Takeichi enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 11 inches (27 cm)tall, 4 inches (10 cm) square and in excellent condition.
Kawai Takeichi (1908-1989) studied the art of pottery under his legendary uncle Kawai Kanjiro in Kyoto from the age of 19. He stayed with Kanjiro for many years, one of his most loyal supporters, and the two were very close...

This is a beautiful cloisonne vase. It is not signed but it appears to be a vintage Hayashi Kodenji piece. The colors are brilliant and the enamel has a high gloss. Besides the top and bottom scroll work there are 7 butterflies that adorn this vase. This stout vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and is 6 inches wide. The rims are silver and condition is excellent.

Very beautiful antique circa 1900 pale blue Chinese Peking glass necklace, possibly a prayer necklace, with 30 round beads carved in a basketweave pattern, and a center oblong pendant with carving and piercing, all strung on the original very intricately Chinese knotted thread. The color of the pendant piece seems to be very slightly different from the round beads...

This is an excellent and intricately carved very charming netsuke, made by our own Pennsylvania native, David Carlin. He describes it as a "Clown seated on a ball with his left hand holding his forehead and the right arm resting in the clown’s lap. The eyes are inlaid in amber and the clown has a star in his right cheek matching the stars on the sleeves and bottom hem of his sweater.
