These sparkly lunch or dessert plates measure 8 1/4" across. They feature Cape Cod's pattern of fire-polished optic glass diamonds and thumbprints with a large ray star in the center. The fabric on this small purse from Bamiyan is cotton, solidly worked in brick stitch in silk thread, the colors alternating between celadon, pink, orange and red. Circa early to mid 20th century. The interlocking rhomboid design and hooked diamonds are typical of Hazara embroidery. This purse measures 10.5 x 18.5 cm when opened, 8 x 10.5 cm when closed. Condition: Excellent (e.g., no stains, no flaws, no damage)

This densely embroidered purse is from Katawaz (Ghazni province), Afghanistan and measures 12x25 cm when opened, 11x12.5 cm when closed. The metallic thread embroidery is not taken through the background fabric but applied onto it in satin stitches, laid parallel to each other and held down by tiny stitches in orange thread. Presented is this beautiful green-to-amber Murano glass large bowl with turned ends and gold flecks, made most likely by Barovier & Toso.. The heavy glass bowl is 14 1/4 inches (36 cm) long, 9 3/4 inches (25 cm) wide and 4 1/4 inches (11 cm) tall. It is without chips, cracks or repairs. Polished pontil.

Small, hand made cricket cage made of bamboo and bone with a copper handle. The cage has two tiers each with a sliding door. It measures 4.5" h, 4" w, 1.5"d.
Diameter: 11¼ inches (28.6 cm)Height: 3 inches (7.6 cm). Super-sized, this elegantly shaped bowl is glazed in shinny ivory-white. It bears on its inner wall raised floral patterns. Its inner bottom is decorated with a chrysanthemum-medallion. The bowl is characteristic of the superb ceramic-making workmanship of Song Dynasty Dingyao ware. Highly collectible and in an excellent vintage condition.

Pair Japanese carved and hand painted on heavy solid Ivory Mandarin Ducks(couple) with inlaid Mother of Pearl eyes, 3 3/8" high, 4 1/4" x 2" wide each, beautifully detailed carving and painted with water color on Ivory. These couple of Mandarin Ducks are made in Japan during 1950's and sold at Gump's in U.S., still retain the partially torn paper stickers "Made in Japan" on the bottom of the male duck. These pair of ducks should stay together forever...
The bronze has a fine dark patina. Very fine, expressive sculpture in naturalistic style characteristic of human representation in the Post-War period.
