This extraordinary tea service was made in Japan with a large brush strokes of a swirled orange glaze decorated with a raised dragon motif handles, spouts and dragon head finials on the lids of the tea pot, creamer and sugar. Offered is this beautiful and rare two-color (bottom part with bubbles) Murano glass vase, made by Barbini, around 1950. The vase is very heavy. It is 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) high and 9 1/4 inches (23,5 cm) wide. It is in very good condition, without chips, cracks or repairs. It is signed, 'Brrbini Murano' in script (see picture). A similar Barbini vase was sold by Skinner's on December 15, 2012 (see last two pictures for your reference).

This is a beautiful Japanese wedding gown (Uchikake) in high quality; it is soft but hangs well. This wedding gown looks more like a Noh costume. The colors are deep purple and light green in a gold background. The gold is not as shiny as shown in the photos unless it is placed under a bright light. The gown was made in the famous Nishijin textile district of Kyoto, Japan and the gown in this quality is very difficult to find in today's market...

Sterling silver gravy ladle in Gorham's 1964 "La Scala" pattern. This is one of the heavier and more expensive patterns produced by Gorham in the mid-20th century.

Sterling silver gravy ladle in Kirk's 1937 "Rose" pattern. Fully decorated with a repousse floral design in the great Baltimore silver tradition, this piece would look lovely mixed with similar patterns such as Kirk "Repousse", Stieff "Rose", Schofield "Baltimore Rose", etc. The reverse is marked with Kirk's mark from the period 1927-1961. Excellent condition; no monogram or removal. 7-1/8" long.

Line 700 was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1929. Offered here is the 6 1/2 inch fan vase in in jade. The color is a green ceramic wash applied over crystal and then fired on to fuse it permanently to the surface of the glass. Excellent condition, the color is really lovely! He is sometimes called the Japanese Picasso because of his prolific multi media creative work. He was part of the sasuka-hanga movement and the mingei, folk art, movement. He is from the northern region of Aomori and incorporated many of those local themes into his art. This print measures 11.75" wide by 15.5" tall...

A square section Chinese baluster vase. Painted on two faces with scholars & their attendants beneath trees, with texts and seals on the other two faces. The inside and recessed base glazed.

Japanese Fukagawa, Koransha baluster vase decorated in underglaze red with a leaping carp, on a shaded blue ground, Koransha orchid mark to the base, original wood box (13" x 9" x 9"). Dimensions of the vase are 12" in height and 7" in diameter (at the widest).

A finely carved lime box, its body in the form of a cone surmounting a flaring cylinder, decorated with three levels of an elaborate geometric design which is changing at each level. The stopper itself is decorated with two human heads back to back surmounting the neck adorned with a necklace. A bone spoon and a bone point are attached to the stopper, the link adorned with wood beads and tiny old glass beads. Fine age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 16.5 cm. Very good condition.
