Moderntone was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass from 1934 - 42. Offered here is the custard cup in amethyst. (Hazel Atlas called this color 'burgundy' when it was originally made, but it's a rich amethyst color.) Very good condition, there is slight inner rim roughness along the mold line - typical for this piece as they were stacked and the inner lip is sharp. I have 2 available, price is per custard. The Crinkle pattern was produced by Morgantown glass company in the late 1930's and into the 1960's. This is the 13 oz footed tumbler in amethyst. The tumbler is 5 1/4 inches high and in perfect condition. I have 8 available, price is per tumbler. See my other listings for more Crinkle items in different colors.

Old Chinese scholar’s rock in a shape of a natural boulder perfectly resembling a huge monolith with layered structure. Gives wonderful impression of immense energy of the mountain, presents great views from all sides. Beautiful stone with incredible wealth of textures and colors. Very strong scholar’s object, excellent patina on the surface of the stone, fitted rosewood stand. Height with stand 4 5/8 inches.

Cinnabar is getting very hard to find, this lovely specimen even has a reticulated translucent very pale celadon carved stone, done in a floral pattern. In excellent condition despite a few dings, the cinnabar is completely intact. It measures 6" X 3.5" x 1.75 inches high. Dated to about Circa 1920, this vintage Chinese treasure is sure to increase in value over time. Note: Any white spec in the photos are reflections from the camera.

A delicate antique Chinese Tea Box with exquisitely decorated gilt relief. It has a pewter box lining with a glass knob. The lacquer shows images of a pavillion setting with trees and a border of flowers. The pewter box has a primitive etching of scholars with rocks and grasses. The interior top is lacquer with two gold fronds.

Fabulous sassy pouch and totally intact, a major feat for a little purse that ancient! Large blue faceted beads, two levels of tiny silver bead fringe and an eight strand long tassel. Great lining and metal drawstring. Some lucky person danced the Charleston with this little purse swinging from her wrist. Diameter of purse fully opened 4 1/2", length of purse 5", length of tassel 2 1/2", wristband tightens automatically by metal drawstring to fit any size wrist.

Two flapper dress tricot scarves, one yellow and rust (a), the other in shades of brown, blue-grey and yellow (b). Both made of atificial silk and from the Charleston era, 1920’s. Length (b) "79 / 200 cm and "66 / 168 cm. Condition: fine.

Doors of these granaries are often adorned with impressive carvings of animals or people which serve as invocations of deities or spirits, or as symbols of status. The stored grain is considered "safe" when it is guarded by the ancestors whose images are depicted on granary doors. These doors protected the window-like opening into each family's grain storage building, and used a simple sliding door lock...
