Rather unusual 1930s Japanese porcelain covered inkstone with underglaze decoration. The side of the base is inscribed with a very long text, the top of the cover has a short poem and a figure of a man in robe lighting his pipe from ambers in the brazier. Possibly Arita ware, very nice modeling of the central raised area with rougher side surface for grinding ink, remnants if dried ink in the well...
Fun portrait of Daruma with googly eyes, in quick brush strokes. Above him an inscription that mentions the Buddha, the Bulguksa temple on Mount Toham in Gyeongju, South Korea, the name Seog’un, followed by the seals Lim-Chung…. And Seog’un. Other red seals in the lower left corner and to the right of the character ‘Bul’ (Buddha).
Black ink and some gray on paper. Mounted in brocade and framed in wooden Asian frame...
Antique Chinese Cloisonné Humidor Tabaco or weed Stash jar . Nice cherry blossom pattern over white enamel . Slight twist and the lid is a bit tight. Great for a coffee table stash jar. D 3" h 2.8" no damage
