This is an antique Islamic Indo-Persian aftaba ewer from the 18th-19th century, made in the Caspian Sea area.

It is a large, hand-crafted tinned copper piece with a flattened, bulbous shape and a long, hand-wrought baluster neck. The ewer has a hinged cover with an acorn finial, a swan-shaped spout, and an "S" scrolled handle with a dragon-head terminal. A splendid antique 19th century, Islamic, Indonesian shield of circular convex form and the flat outer rim made of hand-forged copper, applied with finely hand cut brass script in Arabic calligraphy, soldered to the surface of the shield and adorned with brass rosette repousee and pierced in lotus flower heads, four domed brass bosses and four elaborate plaques, the repousee is pierced with arabesque design. The back of the shield is affixed with a wood handle fitted in copper mounts.

An Antique 19th century, Transoxiana, Indo Persian Islamic Central Asian Bukhara – Samarkand, hand hammered copper Teapot - Ewer. Tear - shaped body on a flaring trumpet foot, curved spout with a short neck and domed hinged cover and serpentine handle.

The body composed of several elements of hand-hammered copper adorned with embossed drop-shaped panels and finely hand chased split-leaf arabesques.
