The image shown here is a color added study of an unfinished masterpiece. The flemish painting is in untouched unfinished condition. This painting is in original untouched condition and has not been relined. Due to the Old Master quality, this painting was never overpainted or changed in any way. No resin finish has been applied to this painting. This Old Master Painting tells a Flemish Love Story to Memorialize the love and belief in salvation for his wife. It shows Angel Michael pointing to the Holy Spirit in the top right corner for a sitting lady with a witness holding a euchurist looking through a barred window in the left corner. There are four angels overhead. The Angel Michael, the angel of death holds the keys of the kingdom of Heaven for the faithful souls. Please notice the honeysuckle random design which appears on the angels amor. The angel is pointing to the Holy Spirit in the top right hand corner, and we believe this was influenced by Leonardo. With new detail photographs we have been able to match the eyes in this painting to those of Rubens drawings. This unfinished painting is more like Rubens drawing as compared to his paintings. After nine years of research, and doing an enlargement study, we have found the armor is covered with a design of honeysuckles. The honeysuckle flower symbolism represents love, and a lovers embrace. This first symbol appears in Rubens 1609 painting and fourteen other paintings by Rubens, van Dyck, and Jacob Jordeans. At the bottom right corner, it is signed with a masonic letters monogram, "R&D. The original stretcher with glued on canvas Painting measures 66 1/4" x 44". The painting was purchased at the Brunk Auctions, and its owner was a large California collector. Our research indicates the painting is from The Flemish School of Peter Paul Rubens. The frame is marked "L137 / 307". In reviewing the work of Titian, we found a very simular embroidery design of the honeysuckle decoration of the dress worn in the "La Bella" painting. We believe this is the original design which Rubens copied. The face of the Angel Michael matches Rubens, the face of the sitting lady matches Isabella Brant, and the image in the barred window matches that of van Dyck. The painting also shows the influence of de Vinci. The unfinished painting is in original untouched condition. Chemical Analysis of the paint shows an average of the 22 tests were Sulfur S 31.3%, Lead Pb 12.2%, Iron Fe 4.8%, Chlorine Cl 2.5%, Arsenic As 2.4%, Calcium Ca 2.9%, Copper Cu 2%, Mercury Hg 1.9%, Potassium K 1.7%, Zinc Z 0%, Phosphorous P 2.7%, and Tungsten W .4%. We have just finished another lab study, and the gold paint is real GOLD Au!! Four separate locations on the painting were examined; they are the Crown, the Sword, the Halo, and the Scroll!! The special paint used on this altar painting indicates that it was created by an old master painter for his own collection!! After visiting a local Baroque Art Collection of over 400 works of art, I unable to find any canvas paintings which contained real Gold Paint!! To advise more later! Like Leonardo, the "sfumato" shading technique is used to create an atmospheric haze or smoky effect!!
