Jarlets of this kind with a decoration of galloping horses are rare, because the majority of such jarlets do show a rabbit - or a deer decoration. Ming Dynasty, Swatow ware, 17th. century with an underglaze cobalt blue decoration. Very nice cobalt blue, very nice and glossy glaze. H: 7,4 cm. Diameter: 6,8 cm. Condition : No cracks, the rim and the unglazed footring bumped ( please regard the images )

The bronze body absolutely delightful casted and additionally incised even in the smallest details. The beast modelled with a fierce expression portrayed by bulging eyes and bared teeth, with long curled mane and horns. The tail elegantly curved and detailed with finely incised lines. Excellent, most beautiful patina. Qing Dynasty, eighteenth century. L : 18,2 cm. H. 8,7 cm. Condition : Perfect.

An perfectly potted porcelain bowl, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with an very nice clouds-decor. The tone of the Cobalt blue is very attractive and the glaze of this bowl is simply perfect. Ming Dynasty, Wanli period ( 1522 - 1620 ). Diameter: 11,9 cm. H: 6,8 cm. Condition : Perfect with a nice "ping-tone" when tapped.

Nice Kobalt blue, very nice smooth glaze. Ming Dynasty Wanli period ( 1573 - 1620 ) Jingdezhen ware. Diameter : 16,5 cm. H : 17,9 cm. Condition : There is one crack to the neck towards the rim and another crack to the body of the Kendi. Since both cracks seem to be very old both cracks do not desturb the nice appearance of the piece. ( Please have a look at the enlargements )

Provenance : German collection. There is a old paper to the back of the dish in German language which indicates, that this dish was found in North Sumatra ( Aceh area ), and that the dish was purchased at the 10th of October 1973 in Medan, North Sumatra...

Two rare porcelain lids with moulded decoration and glazed with a pale blue-green Qingbai glaze. Yuan Dynasty, fourteenth century. These 2 lids, excavated in Indonesia, do have a Diameter of 6,8 cm. They perfectly would fit for 2 Qingbai glazed Yuan jarlets with a moulded deoration, and with a mouth rim diameter between minimal 5,2 cm. and maximal 6,2 cm. The perfect match ("marriage") would be with jarlets with a mouth rim diameter of 5,8 cm. Condition: Perfect.

The monk Budhai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, is an incarnation of the Bodhisattva Maitreya, the Buddha predicted to succeed Gautama Buddha in the future. The rotund deity carved with a broad smiling face seated with his left leg tucked under his ample protruding belly, the right leg drawn up, the shoulders and extremities draped in a wide flowing robe. A well potted porcelain bowl, covered with a creamy white, crackled glaze and an overglaze enameled decoration with lion and phoenix in red, green and black. Ming Dynasty 17th. century Swatow ware. Remarkable on this bowl is the fact that the rim of the bowl seems to be unglazed, and the base is fully covered with glaze.
