Pair Japanese porcelain vases decorated in various shades of blue under glaze to show a view of Mount Fuji. On the bottom of both vases is the Fukagawa factory mark, and the vases dates to the early 20th Century. Each vase measures 10" high x 7 1/2" in diameter. This Japanese okimono quality bronze turtle has a champleve decorated shell that opens to reveal a pipe stand. The turtle measures about 6 1/2" long x 3" wide x 2" tall and dates to the turn of the Century. The turtle has the makers' impressed seal underneath. A Japanese thinly potted porcelain bowl that is decorated both inside and out with scenes of a Japanese village. The artist has detailed the houses, lake, boat, fisherman, people and a temple, and applied a beautiful gold border. The bowl measures about 2 1/2" high x 6" in diameter, and dates to the end of the Meiji Period. An antique Japanese Satsuma Jar that measures about 18" tall x 13" in diameter. The jar has the "thousand faces" design, skillfully executed in gold and raised moriage enamels. On one side is Kannon, the Buddhist Goddess, and on the other I believe it is the Immortal, Lu Tung-pin, who has the power to slay dragons and evil. A pair of antique Japanese candlesticks dating to the Meiji period 1868-1911. The stands are made of copper and measure about 17 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" in diameter, across the weighted bottoms. The stands have been engraved with an assortment of family mons, both on the bases, and up the sticks. The condition is very good. There are no dents or broken pieces, and a dark patina has developed over the years. The asking price includes shipment within the USA.

A rare Japanese porcelain water dropper in the form of a cat. The cat is covered in an overall Pink glaze. The dropper measures about 2 3/4" long x 2" high, and is in perfect condition. A White porcelain ware figurine of a Japanese puppy. The puppy has a small hole in its' neck, and an open mouth, and functions as a water dropper. Water droppers were used by a scholar to add water to the ink stone when mixing ink. The puppy is very attractive with Hirado style pierced eyes, large ears, modeled toe nails and a raised left foot. An elaborately decorated Japanese porcelain elephant with applied beads of enamel and large areas of gold trim. There is a large five point gold leaf centered on its' back. The elephant measures about 9" long x 6" high x 4 1/4" wide, and dates to the early 20th Century. There is a badly worn "Made Japan" mark on the bottom of one foot. A large hanging Japanese scroll of Daruma the founder of Zen Buddhism that dates to Circa 1900. Duruma has been painted in red and black, on fine silk, and mounted as a scroll using gold threaded brocade borders. The scroll ends are made of a tropical hardwood. The scroll has been signed and marked with the Seal of Kano Sanroka. The scroll measures about 21 3/4" x 80", and the picture by itself measures about 16" x 44". The condition is good...

A Japanese heavy bronze incense burner with Murashido marbled areas decorating the sides, bottom, and lid. The burner is six sided, has a lid pierced with three bats (good fortune), and a top knob in the shape of a mushroom (long life). There is a makers mark stamped on the bottom (Esteemed Hall?). The burner measures 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter. We cannot find any comparable bronze burners, but we believe it dates to the turn of the Century. The condition is excellent with minor wear...

Six matching pairs of sterling silver salts and pepper shakers, artistically done in the form of the koi (carp or goldfish). The container for the salt is also silver, and the finely ground pepper loads into a threaded hole at the base and comes out of the holes in the mouth and eyes. Each fish measures about 3 1/2" long, and is marked "sterling". The 12 pieces weigh a total of about 11 ounces...

A nicely decorated Japanese porcelain Satsuma bowl, with scalloped edge, showing groups of women and men and Buddhist Monks. The bowl is marked Meiji period (1868-1912, and gives the makers' name as being "Kinkozan". The bowl measures about 2" high x 4 3/4" in diameter, and the condition is excellent. Six matching antique Imari plates with the classic black ship design showing Dutch ships and sailors. The plates measure about 1 1/4" high x 9 3/4" in diameter, and date to the end of the Meiji period...

A large heavy okimono of a striding elephant. The bronze elephant has a finely chased hide and it's original ivory tusks. The elephant measures about 19" long x 19" high, and weighs about 23.8 pounds. There is a maker's mark cut out on the belly of the beast which reads "Watanambe Made", and the patina overall is even and perfect. The elephant was made during the Meiji period, ie: late 19th Century, and the condition is perfect. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

A watch fob made up of 4 Satsuma decorative ceramic rounds with metal surrounds and chains. The backs of the mountings have the impressed Satsuma mark.
