A silk brocade in gold thread with heart shaped pattern. And a cut velvet fabric with pattern in burgundy red on yellow, composed of boteh, leaves and flowers. From a Swiss gentleman's study collection, mainly comprising Persian textiles. Condition: good, velvet with partial loose threads. Please look at photos carefully, being part of condition report. Two small rectangular covers from Persia. The larger one composed of different silk fabrics and edged by a termeh textile, one side embellished with sequins. The smaller one made of different block-printed and dyed cotton fabrics. From a Swiss gentleman's study collection, mainly comprising Persian textiles. Dimension: 36.5 x 22.5 cm, 29.7 cm x 16.2 cm. Centrally a medallion with cypresses surrounded by meandering flowers, and a row with cartouches containing Arabic inscriptions.
