Large blue and white teacup of ogee shape and saucer bowl, in the Fitzhugh pattern. Chinese export porcelain from the early years of the 19th century, c 1810-20. Diameter of saucer "6 ¼ / 16 cm and of cup "4 ½ / 11 cm. Condition: the cup with two short hairlines and a nick to the mouth rim.

Ten creamware dinner plates, transfer printed in puce with a cottage, a farmboy and cattle within a lace border, the outer rim with hand painted vine leaves, also in puce (one vine wreath partly in orange). From Herculaneum in Liverpool c 1810, all with the impressed mark of the pottery as a straight line, in the style of Wedgwood, the name of the pottery also competing with Wedgwood’s Etruria. Diameter "10 / 25.5 cm. Condition: all fine except for a hairline to one of the plates.

A pair of Staffordshire soup plates, transfer printed in blue in the Willow pattern, c 1820 or somewhat earlier, no foot rims and probably Spode. Both pearlware, with variation in thickness and pattern. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.5 and 24 cm, height of both "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: the smaller plate with a nick to the rim (cf. pics).

Two double-handled cake plates with natural flowers surrounded by a border in cobalt blue, cream and gilt. Unmarked, c 1830 and probably by Ridgway. Width "9 ¼ and 9 ¾ / 23.5 and 24.5 cm respectively. Condition: a firing crack to one plate visible from behind, otherwise fine.

A wall plaque with dancing putti and flower garlands, possibly depicting Spring in a suite of the four seasons. Plaster, patinated and polished to look like terracotta, possibly English around 1800, likely a Grand Tour souvenir. Unmarked, the back with two copper rings for hanging. Width "11/ 28 and height "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a few glaze flakes to the left side (cf. pics).

Coral red tea bowl and saucer, the bowl with rocky landscapes in blue, green and black in reserves, the saucer with the same decoration depicted on a paper scroll. The black lines are hand painted like the rest, so probably Chinese, Jiaqing period. The lotus scroll work on the tea bowl with traces of silver, now oxidized. A pair of lidded small pewter ewers or tankards, antique burettes once used in The Holy Mass. An engraved A to one lid and a V to the other, for Aqua (water) and Vinum (wine) respectively. Each hold about 8 centiliters, an amount which obviously relates to an old measuring system, maybe German. The design - with the cherubim below the spouts and the hearts above them, as well as the shells to the handles - is definitely 18th century Rococo. Teacups – six plus one - and saucers from Staffordshire with moulded borders, made of porcelain around 1825 and possibly by H & R Daniels. The pattern is numbered 766 and consists of little blue flowers or leaves growing from meandering sprouts in green, with minimal red shoots from them. Measures: height of cups "2/ 5.7 cm, diameter "4/ 10.5 cm and of saucers"6/ 15 cm. The seventh cup with a slightly different handle and no border moulding. Condition of all pieces: fine.

An 18th century cashier’s fob seal / stamp, made of steel with an engraved beehive surrounded by keys. This pictograph tells you to keep your fingers away: in the emblem books of the time the beehive used to be accompanied by a Latin sentence meaning “not for you”. Charming coffee cans, decorated with various birds in bright and lively colours, the style typical of the last years of the Amstel factory, 1809-1814. There are three cans. The saucers are from the period, but not belonging - the original saucers probably had corresponding birds in the center. Height "2 ¼ / 6.2 cm, diameter of saucers "5 ¼ / 13 cm. Condition: some wear to the gilt of the upper rim to two of the cups.

Faience écritoire / inkwell or desk set, France, c 1800. Unusually bold decoration of flowers in black and blue. The inserts apparently of the period, but not belonging. Width "7 ¼ / 18.5 cm, height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: wear consisting with age.

Two Milchglas or Lattimo mugs made in Bohemia or South Germany c 1800. Both are gifts of friendship: one with Zum Andenken (Souvenir), the other Aus Achtung (Out of Respect), the dedications surrounded by wreaths of roses and other flowers. Milchglas / Lattimo was à la mode from the mid-18th to the early 19th century, made to compete with porcelain and faience and often enameled in Rococo style. Height "3 ¼ / 8 and "3 ½ / 8.5 cm. Fayence plate from northern France, c 1800. The well with carnelion, tulip and peony surrounded by some other flowers, all in manganese and yellow. Diameter " 9 ½ / 24 cm. Condition: wobbly base, otherwise fine. The back with spur marks near the rim, a sign of age.

English or Irish wine glass or rummer, Georgian, c 1830. The cup and stem are slice cut, the knop diamond cut or faceted and the foot star cut. Height "4 ½ / 11.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Meissen porcelain cup and its holder, a Turkish “Fincan” and “Zarf”. Unmarked, Marcolini period (1774-1814), for the Ottoman market. Decoration of roses (gül) in Famille rose enamels and gilt. Height when put together "2 / 5.2 cm. Condition: fine.

Blue and white handleless cup with early transfer printed decoration of butterfly and flowers, the Three flowers pattern. Crescent mark for Worcester, c 1780. Height: 1 3/4" / 4,5 cm. Condition: fine.

An English blue and white tea bowl and saucer, transfer printed with Chinoiserie scenes in four compartments, a variation of the Willow pattern, c 1800. Height of cup: 2" / 5 cm, diam. of saucer: 5 1/4" / 13 cm. Condition: fine.

Blue and white tea bowl with scalloped rim and pagoda decoration, Qianlong c 1760-80. Interestingly, the Chinese decorator has made an abrupt cut in the mountainous landscape scene (cf. picture 3) so as to give an impression of a printed pattern, the way it is sometimes seen on early English - competitive - transferware where this of course always was a mistake due to this new technology. Unusual. Height 2" / 5 cm. Condition: minimal chip to outer rim.
