Museum quality ancient Han dynasty, 206 BC – 220 AD, lead green deep dish from Luoyang, Henan Province. Excellent patina with the original silvering left intact on the rim of the dish. The 3rd photo shows a spur mark left by one of the clay firing stilts used to prop the dish to prevent it from sticking to the kiln floor. We have not seen another advertised for sale anywhere, other than the common cold painted types...

This is a very rare and highly desirable Changsha kiln 9th century Tang Dynasty bird water dropper. Based on archaeological records, Changsha wares originated and were developed from the foundations of the Yue Zhou kilns which were built prior to the Tang Dynasty in the same region. Usually these are characterized by such components such as under-glazed brown and green motifs and with molded design in relief, appliqué designs or impressed designs in relief and also incised or carved designs...

This is a very rare round hole coin known as a Yuan, as identified by the single character on the right. Yuan was a city in the state of Liang in ancient China. This coin has not been acid treated nor artificially aged, it is well worn and has the verdigris that is natural and impossible to scrape off by conventional means. These range in size and weight from 41.2 to 43 mm, and range 8.8 to 10.7 grams). Condition is fine. Date: about 300 B.C.E. Warring states period...

A rare and very old neolithic pottery jar from the Qijia culture from Gansu Province, China, 2050 - 1200 BC. Being corded, when the clay was wet, fabric was applied making pattern. When it was fired, the fabric would burn off, leaving the design. In excellent condition, no restoration or repairs, it measures 6.5" high.

Han Dynasty pottery vase. Authentic and of the period, 221 B.C. to 206 A.D. In the photos, you can see the firing supports that are still intact, as well as the oxidation of the lead glaze, with the silver bleeding through to the surface, all of which lend to its authenticity. It is worth noting that there are several incised bands around the circumference of the jar. Measures approximately 17” (43.2 cm)tall and 10” diameter at widest.

Three shards from a black terracotta jar dating to the Warring States Period, possibly as late as early Han (206-220 BC). One piece has a lion's head mask. The longest shard measure 4.75". Excellent study pieces. Price includes shipping worldwide.

A beautifully preserved Han dynasty (221 B.C. to 206 A.D.) wine cup with mackerel silver highlights. This is caused by damp conditions within the tomb in combination with exposure to air, which in effect causes the silver to separate from the lead and surface toward the top. This wine cup has the original kiln supports still present. Authenticity guaranteed, it measures 13 cm long x 11 cm wide x 5 cm high (5" x 4.25" x 2"). No chips, no hairlines, etc.

A very beautiful Tang Dynasty jar with a pale greenish and slightly bluish glaze effects. This very ancient Tang artifact (681-906 A.D.). is in excellent condition with no hairlines or noticeable damage. Lid and stand included, both which are antiques in their own right. A beautifully preserved Han dynasty amber glazed lidded hu jar (221B.C.-206A.D) with the original kiln supports fully intact, located on the foot. The jar is free from any hairlines or repairs. The glaze is nearly and entirely intact, just slightly grazed in spots. It is extremely rare to find an amber glaze jar from the Han dynasty. It is even rarer to find one with its intact lid that is free from repairs...

A fine Roman blown glass bottle in a deep amethyst color. Most likely a medicinal flask or unguent vial. It is evenly translucent with very little earthen deposits and encrustation. Quite rare and beautifully well preserved, it dates circa 1st-3rd century A.D. Measurements 4.75" x 3".

A rare Eastern Han (206 BC- 219 AD) jar with incised decoration about the collar area. All the features one wants to see are found on this rare artifact, such as root impressions, worm tracks, and traces of calcified (petrified) roots. This jar is not the typical molded type made for burial, but was actually used in real life as utilitarian ware for everyday use. The jar is in excellent condition and measures 6.5" high x 7" diameter.

This beautifully formed jar from the Lopuri culture of central Thailand is well over two thousand years old and guaranteed authentic. It is covered with a dense network of calcified roots. A very rare Jianyang temmoku wine jar of Song dynasty (11th to 12th century) that has the characteristic black body clay, traces of burial earth are left intact around the handle and mouth areas of the vase for authentication purposes. The typical thick black glaze with the aforementioned black body clay, clearly designates the origin about 230 km from Jingdezhen in the region of Jiangxi province. Condition is very good without any hairlines, chips, or repairs...

A rare and unique offering of a Ming dynasty (1368-1644) wall section from Nanning in Guangxi Province. Molded in deep relief it shows a typical scholar from the Ming dynasty wearing the literati hanfu, the traditional black straight-lined robe. His hair style is the traditional wavy cloud that rests in a neat pile on the pate of the head...

Two very rare Ko-imari rice bowls from the Genroku period. C. 1690-1710. These are just gorgeous, the bottoms are painted in the chevron pattern, and various geometrical patterns of roundels with honey comb patterns throughout. Two dragons adorn either side of each cup and each surrounded with colors of iron red and green enamels with gold gilt accents. Each bowl and cover are in perfect condition with very little wear to the enamels, almost non-existant...

A small late Ming Dynasty underglaze blue porcelain dish featuring a flower basket design. In excellent original condition with no cracks, no hairlines, and no repairs. Measures 5 7/8 inches diameter, 1 inch high.

Just simply stunning, this beautiful Chinese Asian celadon vase dates to the 14th century, it is in perfect shape save a small piece of broken shard that attached itself when some other vessel exploded in the kiln. Other than that, no cracks, hairlines, or other damage is found. Notice the comb lines and well potted sleek. Measures 4 inches high and about 2.5" at widest.

A lovely Japanese porcelain Imari bowl with 2 ho-ho birds in the center symbolizing yin yang. Two more elaborate birds are painted on the inside panels. Unusual to find a decagonal bowl, it is in excellent antique condition with expected wear to the gold trim on the rim. Measures 7" (17.8 cm) across by 3" (7.6 cm) high. Signed on bottom. Dates 1700

A very rare and early imari that more closely resembles the kakiemon palette, but with the heavy use of gold and some under glaze blue, it would fall under the imari family group. This is a very rare dish as it displays the pomegranate fruit in the center well, its seeds being exposed as to suggest the hope of many sons. 5 cranes are symmetrically arranged, 3 on the garden rock, 2 in flight. A lovely pair of Hoi An Shipwreck Annamese bowls dating to the 15th century. They are excellent condition, save for the glaze that is matte. They measure 4.5" wide and 3" high.

A very good late Ming seal paste box. In excellent condition apart from the usual wear of abrasive scratches, it has good glaze and is petit. Size is 1.75 inches in diameter and x 1.75" high.

A fine late Ming Dy blue and white jarlet with a horse on each side. Rare to find with original lid, this jarlet and lid is in excellent condition with no flaws, no chips, hairlines, or other damage. Book not included.

A beautiful Chinese export mug done in the mandarin palette. This mug is free from any damages and virtually has very little wear, almost nothing. I have not seen any better for the age and is very difficult to find in such pristine condition. Circa 1780. This is one of those pieces that the camera doesn't quite capture the mug's exquisite beauty and detailing. The fortunate buyer will not be disappointed. This beauty measures 5" high and 4" diameter.

A lovely Chinese porcelain Kangshi Period polychrome dish. The edges are "flueted" in 4 places and the interior base features a garden scene with flowers, rocks, and a fence. In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines. Measures 5.25 inches diameter by 1.25" high. Dates circa 1790

Two unique blue and jarlets being offered as group. 1. a small Binh Taun shipwreck jarlet. 2. a Jiajing jarlet 1796-1820. The condition is excellent with the exception of the shipwreck jarlet that shows wear from burial at sea, otherwise the group is perfect without any further flaws, no chips, hairlines, or other damage.

18C Chinese domed jade plaque carved in low relief with Buddhist auspicious symbols. Color is a whitish pale celadon. It is carved very, very thin with two sets of small holes to the back edge. This may have been attached to clothing or fabric or, perhaps, attached to a large ruyi scepter. Condition is excellent and it is wonderfully translucent. Measures: 4" x 3.25".

A fine and rare Qianlong period porcelain bowl decorated with a rich blue glaze accentuated with gold highlights. Featuring two different scenes of people in a landscape setting, the transparent enamel glazes feel smooth as silk. The bowl was repaired in the 1800's with 3 metal staples and there are 2 rim chips at the break. The repair is excellent, the bowl is solid, and it still retains a nice ring when tapped. Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

A deeply carved Chinese cinnabar seal paste box measuring about 2.75 inches diameter and 1" high. It is a superb example of early bright red cinnabar lacquer. Being 225 years old, it has been very well kept. Dates circa 1780.

Circa 1750 Chinese export Nanking Cargo blue and white porcelain tea bowl and saucer. The cup and saucer were recovered from the wreck of the Dutch East India Company ship "De Geldermalsen", which sank in 1751 near Java. The recovered pieces from the wreck are now referred to as "The Nanking Cargo". Both cup and saucer still retain the original Christie's label from the auction held in Amsterdam in 1986. saucer measures 4.75ʺdiameter. Cup diameter is 3".Cup with saucer measures 2.25ʺ high

17th/18th C Chinese hardwood carving of Quan Yin. Beautifully carved with nice elegant lines, this statue has a wonderful patina than only comes with time. In very good condition there are a few age cracks which do not affect the integrity of the piece. There is some glue residue on the bottom where she was attached to an old lamp base. A scholar's drum shaped porcelain water pot for calligraphy which doubles as a scroll or paper weight when not in use. The top is decorated with a depiction of the sun and there is a line of tiny raised dots around the top and bottom representing drum nail heads. In good antique condition with a few nicks around top inner edge and expected amount of wear to raised areas. Measures 3.25" diameter x 1.5". Circa 1700's
