This porcelain sugar and creamer was produced in the United States by Ott & Brewer Belleek in the late 19th century. The sugar bowl is 4 inches across and 1 3/4 inches high. The creamer is 3 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is highly translucent. The interiors of each piece have a high glaze and the outside has a matte finish. It feels rather like satin. They are expertly hand painted by a factory decorator. The decoration is pink anemones with gilded foliage. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain match holder was produced in Germany before 1920. There is no maker's mark on the bottom, only impressed numbers. We think it may have been produced by Schaffer & Vater. Heubach also produced similar types of jasperware. The match holder is pierced to be mounted on the wall. The decoration is white slip over light green ground in a Wedgwood style decoration. The front of the holder has two of the cutest little winged fairies kissing. There are rococo borders decorating the edges. Two sides of the holder have rough finishes for striking matches. It is an antiquated object of Victorian style. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea pot was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory, or KPM, in 1810. It is 6 inches high and 8 inches from the spout to the handle. The pot is made of fine, hard paste porcelain. It has a unique handle and spout. The pot is tastefully hand decorated with sprigs of cornflowers and foliage. It has a very traditional European look. There is gold dental trim on the lid and the body of the pot. There are gilded accents on the finial, handle and spout. Condition: Excellent. There is just a touch of wear to the handle and gilding on the rim where the lid sits on the pot.

This glass powder jar was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the late 19th century. It is 4 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. The hand blown glass is colored light blue. It is hand enameled with a lacy floral pattern on the lid. There are gilded panels on the top edge and bottom with colored enamel decoration. They are mounted with a gilded metal hinged frame. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is 11 inches long, 8 1/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is hard paste of the highest quality. The sides of the basket are reticulated giving it a woven effect. There are two rococo style handles on each side. The center of the bowl is hand painted with a lovely spray of brightly colored flowers. They are realistically portrayed in the Meissen style. There is gold trim on the rim and handles. This exquisite piece may be used or displayed with pride. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain covered bowl with underplate was produced in England by George Jones in the 1870s. The underplate has a diameter of 6 1/2 inches, the bowl is 4 1/2 inches high and 7 inches long across the handles. The set is marked with an impressed Jones mark. The porcelain is very fine, white bone china. The underplate is contoured so that the well is raised up to meet the bottom of the bowl. The handles on the lid and sides of the bowl are made to imitate branches. They have gilded accents and the rims are also trimmed with gold. The best part of this set is the hand painting. All of the pieces are expertly hand painted with wild roses and branches. You will find a butterfly here and there. The roses tumble inside the bowl and down the sides. They look so sunny and fresh, like a summer day. This is a charming antique piece that will surely grace your table. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain pot de crèmes, or hot chocolate cups, was produced in France before 1870. They are unmarked as much of Paris porcelain is. They are 4 1/2 inches high and have a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The lids have a flower bud molded into the porcelain which serves as the finial. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain. They are hand painted with tiny flower sprigs and one larger flower on the front of the cup. Each cup has a different flower. There is heavy gold trim and little gilded flowers scattered around each piece. Condition: There is wear to the gilding on some of the cups where the lid sits. There is slight wear on some of the gilded flowers. With Paris porcelain this is often the case. They are in very good condition for their age and it is quite rare to find a matching set of 6.

This crystal beaker or cup with silver lid was produced in Eastern Europe in 1810. There is a date engraved on the glass. We do not know who the maker was. It is 5 1/2 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 3 1/4 inches. The beaker is hand blown and cut from fine crystal. There are panels which are cut out and polished like cabochon jewels, each having engraved subject matter. These engravings are symbolic. There is a pair of doves, a cornucopia with grapes, clasped hands and other symbols. There are words in German over each panel. The engraved work is exquisite. The lid is silver and is marked. Condition: Excellent.

This soft paste porcelain covered cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Hochst in 1775. The saucer has a diameter of 6 1/2 inches and the cup is 6 inches high. The saucer has a deep well for the cup to fit into so that it does not slide off. This was called a "trembleuse" by the French. The set is decorated in the most opulent fashion. The style and decoration are taken from the French Sevres factory. The scrolled borders are accented with raised gilding. There are applied fruits and leaves on the lid and on each side of the handle. The front of the cup has a landscape with figures dressed in 18th century costumes. It is beautifully hand painted with bright colors. Condition: The cup has a chip on the rim near the handle. It is towards the back of the cup. The leaves on the top of the lid are slightly rough. Gilding on the rim of the saucer is worn. Flaws such as these are part of the life story of a 200 year old cup and saucer. It is a wonder that such a rare, fragile item has survived at all.

This set of 12 porcelain plates were produced in England by Mintons in 1895. The plates bear the date cipher for that year. They have a diameter of 9 inches. They are made of fine, white bone china. The rims have fan shaped molded edges that create a scalloped border. In addition, pieced work is used to accent the decoration, giving the borders a lacy appearance. The plates are decorated with a factory transfer of pink chrysanthemums that spill across the center of each one. Very fine hand gilding enhances the borders. The style seems to be a mixture of the aesthetic and art nouveau period. Condition: Excellent. They were gently used.

These 6 porcelain plates were produced in England by Coalport in 1818. There are no markings on any of these plates but the pattern with the embossed design is documented to have come from Coalport. The plates measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, hard paste porcelain. The plates have embossed floral decoration in high relief. These flowers are outlined with gold. The border is cobalt blue. There are reserves with colorful hand painted flowers framed with fancy gold trim. There is a lovely bouquet of flowers in the center of each plate, all of them different. Gold accents are found throughout the decoration and there is a dentil gold trim on the rims. Condition: There is very minor wear to some of the gilding, mostly to the trim on the rims of these plates. You have to look hard to find it. As these plates are nearly 200 years old it is lovely find them in quite excellent condition.

This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Manufactory between 1830 and 1840. They have a diameter of 8 3/4 inches. The plates have a reticulated rim with molded flowers and decoration in the porcelain. Each plate is hand painted with a Watteau scene depicting lovers in landscape settings. The painting is very fine, with minute detail and vivid colors. The quality of the workmanship is similar to that of Meissen. The borders and rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Two of the plates have sizable chips on the foot ring on the back of the plates. This would not affect use or display.

This set of 10 porcelain dishes with sauce boat was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1880s. The plates have a diameter of 9 inches and the sauce boat is 4 inches high. The underplate on the sauce boat is attached. Each piece is professionally hand painted with fish. The fish are painted with fine detail and outlined with raised gilding. It is interesting to see the different perspectives of each plate. These fish are coming and going in all directions. The rims of the plates are scalloped and trimmed with sponged gold. The sauce boat is also decorated with fish and lots of gold. Condition: Excellent

This ceramic box with brass mounts was produced in France by Gien around 1875. It is 6 1/2 inches high and has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. The ceramic is soft paste with a tin glaze similar to majolica. If you run your fingers around the piece, you can actually feel the enamel painting. It is richly decorated with cherubs, fountains, and ornate scrolls, all on a cobalt blue background. The designs are all hand painted. There is a piece of fruit for the finial on the top of the lid. The bottom has a brass mount with lion's paws and the lid is hinged. Condition: The bottom inside rim has been restored. There are no other defects.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Worcester around 1770. We have seen other pieces of Worcester in this pattern and although there is no marking, we believe it is Worcester. The diameter of the plate is 9 inches. The plate is rather deep. The border is colored with olive green enamel. The interior of the plate has hand painted flowers cascading across it. They are delicately painted with bright colors. The inside border is trimmed with gilded scrolls and the rim has gold trim. Condition: There are a few nicks in the gilding on the rim of the plate and one tiny chip. For such a rare example of Worcester, it is quite good for its age.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890's. The shield mark is under the glaze in a blue green used in the 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 7/8 inches high. The saucer is deeper than usual and the cup is can shaped. The set is decorated with tiny garlands of flowers and leaves. They are painstakingly hand painted in miniature. The handle of the cup is gilded. This little demitasse is so charming and sweet it is sure to delight its next owner. Condition: Excellent.

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Minton around 1870. There are impressed marks from the factory and a printed mark for the retailer. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 3/4 inches high. The set is made of fine white bone china. It is decorated with a factory transfer that is highlighted with hand painted enamels. The style of decoration is distinctively of the aesthetic period. There are wispy bits of foliage and colorful butterflies on both pieces. A lacy gold trim encircles the saucer and cup. Condition: There is light surface wear to the saucer where the cup sits. It is in otherwise excellent condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is molded in a modified square shape. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. It is decorated with an ornate encrusted raised gold design. The hand painted decoration is finely detailed and contrasts elegantly with the cobalt blue ground. The shape is unusual and most attractive. Condition: Excellent
