This Mexican silver necklace weighs 65 grams and is 16in. long with each tulip being 1 1/8th inches tall. It is double signed as shown with TSL. Each tulip has hand made partitions that form the flower. Next the Maestro makes a tiny bead ball and centers it as the stamen to the bottom of the hanging flower. This was an intricate number of steps to build each flower alone and not to mention the swirl of the stem that attaches to the necklace. All pieces to the necklace are solid sterling so it fe...

Before William Spratling brought Taxco to life, popular jewelry all over the world was being made by spinning silver and turning it into beautiful designs in filigree. This is one of those early pieces. This example has 3 glowing gold sheen obsidian stones 1 inch tall. The process was time consuming and Mexican smiths were among the best in the world at producing florals, sweeps, and swirls. The center drop is 1.5in. tall and 17.5in. wearable length. Provenance: from a collection of many Mexica...

Doris Silver was a store in Taxco where artisans could make their jewels in Doris's back room. If she liked the work she would buy it. I have found some of the very best pieces from her shop. Many of the best known silver smiths worked here. This necklace displays a large presence with a drop of 3.75 in. and a wearable of 18in. The repousse is thick and it flourishes with movement around the neck. This necklace was more than well cared for and has no flaws or damage, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE! ...

This Mexican Silver necklace is hallmarked with an ms conjoined, Taxco, Sterling and an eagle 3 as shown. It is very outside of what I would normally acquire. Lighter than my average acquisitions, it is solid with no repousse and is 30 grams in weight. Very comfortable as it feels lighter than air. The minute I saw it worn I was convinced that it was very special. Dramatic at 7 inches long and 4 inches across the presence is commanding. The drop starts at the hollow on the neck so it does not go...

Margot van Voorhies Carr designed this pre-Colombian double swirl and her taller Margot de Taxco created this absolute to die for necklace. It is so beautiful it was chosen as the COVER DESIGN for the book WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penney C. Morrill. Definitely a favorite of mine being 1 14/16th wide (for all intent and purpose you can call it 2 inches wide) and 21in. long. The actual wearable size due to its width is a comfortable 17in. The presence displayed is si...

This is an early Antonio Pineda necklace that I have seen only in obsidian. Everyone over uses the word rare but ...this is very, very rare.. The stones are better than most amethysts seen and the dangles drop from the center is 1.75in.long. The weight is 106.5 grams. With a wearable of 16.5in. it will fit most. The early mark of SILVER BY TONO always shows me a warmer side of Pineda's work and is my personal favorite. There is no damage of any kind as it has been well cared for. The hook is the...

We have a properly signed Antonio Pineda crescent necklace styled with black onyx and having a height of one inch. The weight is 111 grams of quality construction. A natural dark patina is on this treasure and it gives a smoky rich look but many wish Pineda's to be shiny so I will leave that up to the buyer. It sits up on an angle and lays perfectly on the neck with a 17 inch wearable length. I listed a matching bracelet on my site as well if you dream of a set. This is a really rare necklace an...
