Extremely rare sleek & elegant pair of hand wrought sterling silver candlesticks designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Each stick measures 8 1/4" high with a 2 3/4" base. The pair weighs 612 grams or 1 1/2 lbs. Exquisite condition. Each stick hallmarked on base. Antonio designs are included in the permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Striking silver pitcher & stirrer designed & signed by San Miguel Allende, Mexico artist Carmen Beckmann circa 1960. The pitcher is 9" tall & 7 1/2" at it's widest. The stirrer is 12" long. The two pieces weigh a hefty 970 grams. The pitcher is studded with 8 faceted, bezel set amethyst stones. It's also decorated with 3 applied sterling star fish. The stirrer in finished with two faceted amethysts on either side of the terminus. Fully signed on the base. Beautiful condition.

This hand hammered pair of decorative sterling silver dishes designed and signed by Fred Davis weigh 75 grams. Each dish measures 3 1/2" across. Both are in beautiful condition. Each hallmarked FD 925 on the reverse. Fred Davis designs are included many collections including the 20th century MEXICAN silver collection of LACMA.

Rare, early hand forged sterling silver sauce or gravy boat designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Weighing 153 grams the bowl measures 7 1/2" long X 2 3/4" wide & 2" high. Beautiful condition with a gorgeous hand hammered interior.

Measuring 5 1/4" across & weighing 156 grams this 940 sterling silver dish was designed by Taxco, Mexico designer Hector Aguilar. The dish is centered with a 1951 coin with a HIDALGO profile. The reverse side of the coin features an eagle fighting a serpent. This candy dish is pictured on p. 67 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. HA, 940, TAXCO, & TALLER BORDA and eagle 9 hallmarks are found on the underside rim of the dish.

Handsome hand hammered copper and brass water or beverage pitcher designed and signed circa 1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Pitcher measures 7" tall, 6" from spout to handle. The base measures 5 1/2" across. Excellent condition. No dents, dings or repairs. Beautiful unpolished patina. Fully hallmarked HA TAXCO 994 for copper content. Early handmade arts and crafts copper and mirror box designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Meaures 6 1/2"L X 4 1/4"D X 2 1/4"H. Mirrors on 5 sides are in fine vintage condition with no cracks or chips. The copper has a beautiful untouched patina. Two corners on the base are slightly seperated which appear to be original to the handmaking of the piece. See pictures. Hinged mirror top opens to a copper interior. Insured shipping included within the U.S.

Although the detailed design is similar, each of these Spratling candlesticks were handwrought a few years apart. Each carries specific Spratling hallmarks coinciding with their construction dates. The earlier example is 2 1/8" high. The later is 2 1/4" high. Each measures 2 1/4" across at the base. The pair weigh 155 grams. Both are in beautiful condition. Magnificent 5 inch tall sterling silver salt & pepper shakers or casters designed and signed by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The pair weigh 242 grams or 8 1/2oz. Each is accented with applied silver bands along with a ball and bead atop the dome shape. Each hallmarked on the underside. This design is one of Spratling's last coming from the mid 1960's. Beautiful condition with no dents or dings. Cork bottom stoppers in fine working order. The set is pictured on Phyllis Goddard's extensive website spratlingsilver.com. Spratling designs are featured in the 20th Century Mexican Silver collection in the Latin American Wing of Los Angeles County Museum of Art - LACMA. This beautiful pair of silver plates designed by Spratling were hand forged in the 1940's. Each plate measures 4" across. Together the pair weigh 125 grams. Bowl weight is 652 grams or 23 oz. Each of the 3 handles are accented with 2 raised silver domes. Beautiful condition. Excellent accent piece for any room. This early 925 sterling silver box with detachable lid was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. The box stands 4 1/2" high and measures 3" x 2 1/2".
