A pair of oversize porcelain plates made and decorated in China around 1790 for export to the West. Brightly colored carmine flowers with touches of blue and yellow and green leaves cover most of the surface of the plates. The edges are glazed brown. 10 ¼ inch (26 cm) diameter.
Condition: one with a couple of very minor chips on the edge and a spider crack visible on the bottom, but not on the face...

Porcelain underglaze blue painted dinner plate decorated in a direct steal from Worcester with the “pine cone” pattern. The form of the plate is slightly different than the Worcester form but design and border are a close copy. Worcester is done with a transfer prints whereas this plate is hand painted and the porcelain is hard paste as opposed to soft paste. Since the pattern being copied is from around 1780 this plate is probably circa 1790...

Diameter 8 2/3 " / 22 cm, height 1 1/3 "/ 3.3 cm. Condition: two hairlines and an old repair with rivets (= without any adhesives or other additions).
An extraordinary blue and white Chinese export porcelain beaker-form jardinière raised on feet. The quality of the painted decoration makes this one of the finest examples of 19th century Canton we’ve seen. The entire pot is heavily decorated in a naturalistic array of peonies, cherry blossoms and chrysanthemums. Up for sale is a very rare large antique Chinese export round shape famille rose plate, hand painted and glazed, picture depicting an imperial family member wearing bright yellow robe together with other officials, total of 7 characters, and a little black and white dog in the lower right,18th century.
Overall is in very good condition, no crack, no chip, very minor wear. ( see picture ).

This rare Canton covered oval dish (unfortunately, minus its cover) is the finest quality Canton wear, with excellent, crisp underglaze blue decoration. The sides are decorated with floral sprays.
Origin: Canton, China, ca. 1825. Condition: excellent; glaze rubs on the edges; one small glaze bite on the underside of the rim. Size: 9.75" x 8" x 2.25".
An underglaze blue with overglaze orange and gilt Chinese export plate with plants flowering out of rocks in the center. On the border the panels of flowering branches alternate with stylized trellises. The edge is brown. The back is plain with an unglazed foot rim. This style of decoration is from the first half of the 18th century. 9 1/8 inch (22.5 cm) diameter.

A very fine Chinese export porcelain sauce tureen with blue decoration in the Fitzhugh pattern. The oval body is finely potted with intertwined twig handles and applied berries where they join the body. The lid has floral finial. The quality and detail of decoration suggests a date in the early part of the 19th century. The glaze has a slight bluish cast.

A powder blue ground cup with elaborate gilding and two reserved oval panels on opposite sides with a spray of European flowers. Unusual for Chinese Export porcelain the two panels are recess molded. Other examples of this period exist with molding in the body, this ground and elaborate gilding. The inspiration is European, probably German, perhaps Meissen. The cup is 2 inches (5 cm) tall and 3 ½ inches (9 cm) diameter.

The tureen measures 15 1/4" wide to ends of handles, is 10" deep and 12" high.
The underplate measures 14 3/4" x 11 1/4" and is 1 3/4" high.
One of the largest sizes found in tureens of this era, and it is beautifully painted with fine detail, gold ground, and gold on handles and lid finial.
Very heavy, weighs 13 pounds and 6 ounces.
