Porcelain beaker decorated in transfer and polychrome enamels with scenes from St. Louis, Missouri. The scenes include Eads Bridge, Municipal Courts Building, and Union Station. These glasses were made in Bohemia and Germany from the 1890's until World War I. We are also offering similar glasses featuring Boston, Cincinnati, and Mackinac Island. The bottom is marked "Made In Germany".

A fine hand painted and gold trimmed Dresden factory painted porcelain lidded jam or marmalade pot by Donath & Co. c1900. This 5-1/2" tall serving piece features different floral scenes on each panel between the footed columns and on the lid; it is marked with DRESDEN with the crown mark for Donath & Co. (1893-1916), and it has a gold rose painted over the Thomas maker's name. It also has the retailer's stamp for Ryrie Bros. Ltd. of Toronto (who were bought out by Birks in the 1920s)...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany, especially for Charles Ahrenfeldt and exported with the name Saxonia. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The porcelain has designs molded into it. There is a scene on the front of the cup of lovers in a garden. It is surrounded by ornate gilding. There are numerous sprigs of flowers strewn about on both pieces...

German Meissen Porcelain Creamer with three(3) curved feet, 1920's, 3 3/4" high, 3 3/4" wide with handle. Hand painted floral decoration with gilt around the top, handle and the feet. Underglaze blue cross sword mark on the bottom. There is about 1/4" long kiln crack mark on white area under the glaze. No damages or restoration work on this creamer.

An oversized plate (10 ½ inches (26.7 cm) diameter) with a hand painted bouquet of petunias in the center, surrounded by a thick gilt band and the elaborately molded lip with the molding picked out in gold. The printed blue KPM mark on the bottom was used during the years 1847 to 1849. There is also an incised Roman numeral four and possibly the number 14. It was probably used as a serving plate for pastry or cake.

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...

A vintage Victorian period porcelain pink lustre 5 piece condiment or cruet set depicting a playing pair of cherubs or children with the legend "A present from Rathdowney" (a town located in County Laois, Ireland). This 5-3/8" across set is 5-1/4" deep and stands 4-1/2" high with the lids and shaker insert. It includes the base with molded leaf decoration, gold trim and the original spoon for the lidded mustard pot; the shaker inserts into one of the cups...

A finely hand painted pair of miniature German porcelain decorative items by Carl Thieme. This pair has the blue Saxonian Porcelain Factory Dresden mark used from 1901; this group includes the 2-1/2" handled urn (red D mark) and the matching 7 x 2-3/8" tray (blue mark with painted DES.829 DEPOSE). Each features lush goldwork with colourful floral and green wreath decoration, and each is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

A Royal Bayreuth village scene with birds creamer and sugar. This 3-5/8" tall porcelain lidded sugar bowl and matching 2-7/8" high creamer were made by Royal Bayreuth, Bavaria (Germany) c1910-20. The creamer depicts a lady tending geese in front of a village scene with two geese on the back; the sugar bowl shows a gentleman tending turkeys with a village scene with turkey hens on the back...

A molded porcelain figure of a man in 18th century dress turned slightly to his right to warm his hands over a flaming brazier, emblematic of winter. The figure is marked on the base with the underglaze blue “F.” for Furstenberg. It also has the impressed marks A.a.M for a later production of the model which has the impressed number 85. 7 3/8 inches (19 cm) tall.

Condition: excellent except for the amputation of the fingertips of the right hand.

A Victorian bisque double shell young boy figural mantle vase from the late 1800s. This 5-1/4" tall figurine is fully hand painted and of top quality - quite like the fineness of Schafer & Vater. It consists of a young boy with a hat seated between two shells. The vase is in a nice greenish/blue colour and it has lots of gold jewelling. It is unsigned except for a painted 74 and a faint impressed underglaze 524 (we think). This German or Austro-Hungarian home decor accessory is in excellent...

A Furstenberg hard paste porcelain cup and saucer decorated with bands and sprigs of sepia and black flowers with gilt rims and highlights. Both pieces are marked with an underglaze script F and a number (9). The arched handle is typical of early 19th century tea wares. The style continued in the middle of the century, though this style of sepia decoration is more usual in the earlier part of the century. Saucer 5 ½ inches (14 cm) diameter, cup 2 ¾ inches (7 cm) tall.

Condition: no cracks ...

A nicely decorated lobed dinner plate with an off center bouquet of bright flowers in the well of the plate, two sprays of flowers on the lip and a reddish-purple rim. A little green bud near the rim covers a firing flaw. Diameter 9 7/8 inches (25 cm). Underglaze blue mark of crowned interlaced Cs.

Condition; very good and little wear. A short hairline crack from the rim goes about an inch into the plate.

Bright colors and interesting that no gilding was used.

A 7-1/2" German or Austrian porcelain hand painted figurine of a bugler. This mid to late 19th century figure features fine hand painting with gold, orange, blue, tan and realistic flesh colours; it is in a style similar to Heubach figures, but many European factories of this period were producing such figures, and it has a shiny rather than matte glaze. Pretty late Victorian porcelain child's cup. One side has a polychrome transfer image of a playful dog, while the other shows another dog with a blue ribbon around his neck. The rim and handle are decorated with gilt bands. Porcelain cups such as these were prized by Victorian children. The bottom is marked "Germany".
