An exceptional and elegant tea set consisting of a teapot, sugar, and creamer, hand painted with grey ground, and colorful floral sprays. Generous scrolling and foliate gilding complete the treatment. The condition of this ensemble is well above average for its age which we assign to the 2d quarter of the 19th century - c. 1830-40, suffering occasional soling. The pieces are unmarked other than with a hand painted pattern number...

A fine and early Bow porcelain Blanc de Chine thinly potted coffee cup with raised prunus blossoms and an angular crabstock handle.

This porcelain bottle was produced in Berlin by FA Schumann between 1850 and 1869. The bottle measures 6 inches high and 3 5/8 inches by 3 1/8 inches at the bottom. The porcelain is molded with scrolls and shells. There are two finely hand painted landscapes. They are both identified. One is a church in Bulha. This is romantic set of 12 Schumann Dresden flower cups and saucers, with the 1900 era mark of Carl Schumann; the interior of each cup features a lovely courting scene and both cups and saucers have colorful floral and gilt decoration and raised diagonal weave borders. Dinner plate in Sevres pattern but probably Minton c. 1850
A soft paste porcelain dinner plate unmarked, but probably Minton. In the “feuille de choux” pattern with hand painted flowers, blue accents and heavy gilding. These knock offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid 19th century (c.1850) onwards and Minton made many of the very good ones. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.
Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

An earthenware transfer printed in colors plate with a floral border and the scene of a young woman riding a donkey sidesaddle while another well dressed woman stands by. The number “8” appears in a small cartouche above the scene and the title, “Promeade á âne.” The mark on the back seems unreadable, but looks just like an impressed mark for the French manufacturer Montereau and the date of around 1850 is maybe a little late but about right...

This charming cup, decorated with a fence, flowers, and rocks, is painted in vibrant and clear red, green, pink and a splash of yellow. Finely potted, the somewhat elongated form has an incurving lower section and a scroll handle with a thumb rest. The condition is excellent, with no problems at all.
