This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1890 and 1910. Both pieces have the first quality crossed swords markings under glaze. The saucer is 4 1/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches The cup has a split branch handle. The borders are slightly scalloped with points at intervals. These flowers are beautifully hand painted with a unique variation. The stems and leaves are done in gold leaf...

An oval fluted French faience dish with an oval well in the center decorated with polychrome flowers and insects and a purple rim. Painted on the back inside the foot, “No: 4.” The mark and the decoration are typical of Strasburg circa 1740. The well in the center indicates that the dish was probably the undertray for a small tureen. It is 9 x 7 x 1/3/4 inches (23 18 x 4.5 cm)

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 ¼ inches high. The set is made of bone china. The porcelain is molded in a kind of repousse with berries and leaves all over the surfaces. The leaves are flow blue under glaze and the berries are gilded over the glaze. A charming example of an early English figure, probably from the Yorkshire area. The figure was decorated with colored glazes, predating the underglaze enamels. It primitively depicts a figure holding a sheaf of wheat, with "Summer" in a plaque which forms part of the front of the base.

Antique English Staffordshire blue and white transferware plate by Rogers with a very dramatic scene. On the back it is named "The Drama". In very good condition commensurate with age. There is a small chip to the underside of the plate rim that is not seen from the front. Measures just under 8.75" diameter.
