This is a rare example of the remarkable talent behind the wonderful Austrian Bronze handmade, hand painted bronze miniature figurines which were made around the turn of the 20th century in foundries in Austria and Vienna. Austrian bronzes are individually cast from sand molds used only once, then sculpted and cold painted by hand with several coats of a special and secretive type of enamel paint, resulting in very detailed and life like miniature figures...

Function and form make up this silver shoe horn, featuring a decorative intricately brite-cut flora/fauna design enhanced with a centered design bird on a fence. The finish looks like brocade and the defined design stands out subtly from the silver. Monogrammed JKS brings instant relatives from the past into the present. Measuring 6 7/8" in length x 1 3/4" at the widest point, it weighs 60.8 grams. Unmarked but tested 850. Near perfect condition with minor age appropriate wear...

Heavy sterling silver serving spoon in Gorham’s wonderful 1888 “Versailles” pattern. This was a multi-motif pattern, meaning that each type of flatware in a service had a different handle design. This serving spoon shows a farmer in Classical dress carrying sheaves of wheat—quite a curious motif compared to the ornate scrolls and shell motifs that make us the rest of the design...

Gorgeous sterling silver berry spoon in Durgin's 1891 "Watteau" pattern. The rococo design of the handle is wonderful on its own, but when combined with the decoration of the bowl, it's stunning! The back is hallmarked by Durgin.

A gilt bronze figure of Heruka with fierce rolling tongue expression, holding a chopper and skull cup. The deity stands in a warrior's pose with right knee up and pivoting. The flowing drapery suggests movement and dance rituals. The figure is mounted on a bronze base.

Heruka is the name of a category of wrathful deities in Vajrayana Buddhism. These enlightened beings adopt a fierce countenance to benefit sentient beings. In East Asia, they are called Wisdom Kings...

Antique American sterling silver christening cup by the Whiting Manufacturing Company, circa 1890. This elegant large cup has a slightly waited body with a soft, warm finish that has never been monogrammed. In excellent original condition it measures 3.5" tall and 3" diameter at the base.

This Victorian napkin ring has 2 Oriental fans supporting the napkin holder, under which there is a butterfly- all mounted on a square, ball-footed base. It is hallmarked #208 with Meriden & Co in a circle.

Possibly made in Italy or Denmark. With beaded base and knop stem. Finely etched with leaf garland (Imperial) surrounds the piece. Seals on the side. Early 20th Century.

Craftsman sterling silver bowl. Made by Lebkuecher in Newark, ca 1920. Ovoid with reeded rim and small c-scroll handles. Fluting and ogee-form frames (vacant). A traditional pottery form with visible hand hammering. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Grogan Company) and no. 02907HCD. Very good condition with nice shimmer.

Fanciful Imperial Russian Silver-Gilt and Niello Picnic Basket-form Minaudiere/Cigarette Case featuring a textured wicker designed basket held together with a niello belt, hinged top, silver link chain, made in Moscow 1895, having gilt wash interior stamped 84 standard, Makers Mark and Assayers Mark in Cyrillic. WT: 4.91 oz Size: 3 1/2"x 2 5/8"; Age appropriate wear, several small pin dots.

An interesting 18th century pewter plate, the border with an engraved motto, Suum cuique, written on a ribbon above an open book resting on a diagonally striped bar. As presented on this plate this is the crest and motto for the Scottish Clan Don. It is a Latin phrase meaning “to everybody his/her own”, historically used in freemasonry and in legal contexts, like serving as motto for the faculty of law at universities...

An antique German silver mesh purse with pierced frame showing deers and roses. The frame marked with the crescent moon and crown, "800" and a maker's mark. Condition: a tiny hole in the mesh, two links of the chain a bit distorted. Dimension: frame: c. 19 cm wide, purse: c. 18 cm high, weight: 360 g.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass perfume with engraved silver overlay. Made by Gorham in Providence. Globular with short neck and everted rim in silver collar. Ball stopper. Exceptional American coin silver melon spoon in the Grecian taste. Although simply marked "Coin" this spoon could easily be the work of Gorham, Coles, or other makers of similar repute. The matte finished bowl is decorated with repousse lobes highlighted with bright cut engraving; the handle solely with bright cut engraving.

Lovely Victorian sterling silver bonbon spoon featuring a matte-gilt bowl with a scalloped edge. The asymetrical rococo design of the handle was popular in the 1890s. The back is marked "925 Sterling 1000". Before 1916, many American silversmiths did not mark their names on flatware. Unknown maker.

Beautiful 3 piece sterling silver tea set consisting of a teapot, sugar and creamer, all in perfect condition.  It is late 19th century . Meriden Britannia.  The teapot weighs 582 grams and measures 9" tall x 10 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep; the creamer is 6" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 3" deep; and the sugar is sugar is 3 l/2" tall x 5 3/4" wide x 4" deep.

A lovely set of six sterling silver and plique-a-jour enamel cocktail picks by acclaimed Norwegian silversmith and enamelist Johan G. Kjaerland. Kjaerland worked in Bergen, Norway, and was particuarly well-known for his excellent plique-a-jour enamels. This is the first set of cocktail picks we've seen in plique-a-jour. Tall and flared bowl with gilt interior; girdled cylindrical stem on raised foot with studded lobes and scalloped rim. Bowl has four studded and stippled strapwork frames of which two inset with flowers and a third with a medieval horseman galloping through a rocky landscape accompanied by a dog, all in relief. Fourth frame engraved “Hugh Eayrs / Memorial / Trophy”...
