19th century English brass "Queen of Diamonds" Candle holders made as a commemoration piece to honor Queen Victoria's 60 year reign from 1837 - 1897. Measures 11.25" high x 4.5" square.

A Silver Victorian Creamer. Hallmarked for London, 1876, with the Makers Mark for John Hunt & Robert Roskell. Bears the Markings for "Hunt and Roskell" late "Storr & Mortimer", the Successor Firm to Paul Storr. John Samuel Hunt was Paul Storr's Nephew by Marriage. Dimensions 3" high x 4" wide, handle to spout; weight 3.7 Troy ounces. Excellent condition

A finely detailed ornate mesh purse with handle. Made of 800 silver with a floral design around the clasp. The interior contains a unique mesh coin purse. One of the enlarged photos shows a small area under the clasp missing a hoop which we can easily repair if so desired. We can also polish the purse free of charge.

A Silver Pitcher, Probably Used for Milk or Cream, by Eoff and Shepherd and Retailed by Ball, Black and Co., New York. It ios marked 950, higher than the sterling 925 standard, and used briefly during the transition from coin to sterling. An Elegant Script Monogram is on the Front Cartouche. Dimensions; 9" high x 4" wide; weight; 10.1 Troy ounces. Circa 1855-1860. Excellent condition.

German 800 cast silver figural bird bowl, ca 1910. Swan with plumy wings and tail, and ringed s-scroll neck with graceful head terminating in long and closed bill. Hollow with gilt-washed interior for holding treats. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (Martin Mayer). Very good condition.

A wonderful late 19th or very early 20th century sheet iron weathervane in the form of a sperm whale silhouette. The vane is hand sawn and retains its old coat of oxidized green paint (may be original, but appears to be a second coat). One side still has its black painted eye. The silhouette is attached to its original copper mounting pole. Found in Maine.

18th century German pewter plate decorated with quince and pumpkins with leaves made by Johann Christoph Normann. He was born in Kassel, apprenticed to Iohann Gottfried Hilpert, and started working as a master metalsmith in Nuremberg in 1786. Excellent design (anticipating Art Nouveau by a century, if you ask me), superb craftsmanship - see the bumpy skin of pumpkins and finely stippled background. In extraordinary great condition for a 200+ years old object made out of relatively soft metal...

Outstanding brass match holder the pocket formed in the shape of a shield and punch-decorated in a stars and stripes pattern. The pocket is surmounted by a punch-decorated American eagle underneath the motto “In God We Trust”. This motto was adopted in 1863 as a subtle government reminder during the Civil War that God was on the side of the Union troops fighting to end the evil of slavery. The backplate has a punchwork border and also a hole for hanging.

George III sterling silver goblet. Made by Hester Bateman in London in 1785. Ovoid bowl on upward tapering stem flowing into raised foot. Beaded and zigzag borders. Spare Georgian Neoclassicism by a collectible maker. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A pair of lidded small pewter ewers or tankards, antique burettes once used in The Holy Mass. An engraved A to one lid and a V to the other, for Aqua (water) and Vinum (wine) respectively. Each hold about 8 centiliters, an amount which obviously relates to an old measuring system, maybe German. The design - with the cherubim below the spouts and the hearts above them, as well as the shells to the handles - is definitely 18th century Rococo...
