A c. 1720-1740 Tobacco box in an extrafine and sharp condition for the often well-polished boxes of the early period.

Erotic motifs on both sides and as something rare, it's inscribed in the copper with 'Een vurig hart is een kroon der wereld' which means something like 'A fervent heart is a crown of the world'.

Late 19th C sterling silver Art Nouveau floral match safe Vesta with two lizards embossed on each side of the lid. There is a very tiny crack at the top backside near the hinge. It does not compromise integrity of this piece. Marked STERLING inside lip. Measures 2.75" x 1.5"

This handsome case, highlighted by black niello enamel, could be used for various things, including business cards. It has a flower motif on both sides, and space for a monogram on one side, should you wish it. It is marked (and tests as) sterling silver. It measures 3-7/8 x 2-15/16”, and weighs in at 4.92 ounces. In excellent condition. The elastic may be a replacement. We believe this case is pre-1920, but would welcome other opinions...

This brush was made by the well-known Gorham Manufacturing Company. The design looks like the top of an antique steamer chest, with a Steampunk-like strapping-and-stud motif. The top is monogrammed with a fancy "R". It has the Gorham marks, as well as “1857 C”, “Sterling,” and the scissors mark for 1907. It measures 6” x 1-3/4" across the top, and is in very good condition. Photo note: the bristles are an ivory color, but don’t show up that way in the photos...

This elegant brush has repousse decorations depicting Art Nouveau lilies on the top, and fancy swirls on the handle. It measures 5-3/4” x 3". It is stamped Sterling, and there are other, illegible, marks. There is a little bit of damage to the silver at the top of the brush, which is exaggerated by the photos. This antique serving spoon from the Georgian era has a berry motif in the gold-washed interior of the bowl (the wash is very pale and doesn’t show up in the photos). By its hallmarks, it was made in London during 1768-1769. The maker’s mark is a script “BB”. It measures 8-1/2" x 1-3/4", and weighs approximately 56g. So beautiful! Gorgeous Titania glass vase by historic maker Loetz with engraved silver overlay, ca 1900. Upward tapering sides with gently flared mouth. Sides concave and corners chamfered. Here is a Washington- and Masonic-themed spoon which is marked STERLING F.A. WHELAN. Both sides of the bowl, the hilt, and the tip are gold washed. It has a lot of Masonic symbolism incorporated into the design. The dates on the spoon handle (1732-1799) are the birth and death dates for George Washington, who was a Mason.
