Very fine 19th Century European reticulated Silver Salt Cellar with original Cobalt Blue Glass Liner. In the shape of a fine basket and stands on 4 delicate legs. Condition: no breaks or bends to the silver and no chips or cracks to the liner. The base has a hallmark stamp. An enamel 800 silver enamel snuffbox or snuff box depicting the German resort city of Bad Ems. It measures 1-15/16" x 1-3/8". The lid is slightly convex and it is just under 5/8" deep/tall. The top of the hinged oval box features a completely hand enameled aerial scenic view of the city. It takes a enamelist of some training and skill, as not only must they be able to depict the view properly in enamel, but know how the enamel reacts when it is fired, as the colors change...

Art Nouveau or Jugendstil silver plated and footed pewter bowl by Kayser, Germany, c 1910. The design is a wreath of cherries, divided into three compartments. Early stamped mark Kayser. The Kayser or Kayserzinn factory in Krefeld produced pewter items of high artistic value in the decades around 1900. Diameter "6¾/ 17,5 cm and height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

A superb pair of bronze candlesticks from the Jockey Club de Paris. The candlesticks’ trefoil bases are decorated with riding equipment and tackle interspersed with the rosettes awarded to race winners. The edges of the bases are finished with borders that suggest horseshoes. Slender columns rise to a central element featuring three fully three-dimension horseheads capped by a spiraling ribbon engraved “Jockey Club”. Shields bearing coats of arms decorate the candle sockets.
